I will miss her in the mornings!

Heather Haley (’05), Emmy award–winning and long-time WVLT-TV chief meteorologist, is set to join the College of Communication and Information faculty as an assistant professor of practice in the UT School of Journalism and Media and as a WUOT 91.9 FM, Knoxville meteorologist and climate reporter this fall.

As a long-time supporter of her alma mater’s efforts to expand its broadcast meteorology offerings, it’s a full-circle moment for Haley as she returns to help educate the next generation of broadcast meteorologists. While continuing to deliver expert weather reporting to the region through her dual role with WUOT, Haley’s position aligns with CCI’s strategic efforts to carry out the land-grant mission of the university and serve the people of Tennessee.

This evening we had a little adventure. We were up around Gibbs High School and had not had dinner. Several friends had mentioned a new restaurant in Luttrell. We tried it out, Home Town Restaurant. A fairly new place. Very good food, we got too much for the deserts they had so we have to go back for that. It was right beside the school.

Just got a prayer request on our answering machine. A lady that I could barely understand requesting prayer for her son, Nathan Rodregus (?) is seriously ill. Please lift him up today.

In the building I lease we have some space available. It has been a call center. The current occupants are willing to leave the phones cubicles, all very nice. All you have to do is call the supplier and get the phone lines hooked up. 12 I think plus 2 large offices. I really don't care it could be used for storage. Around 1950 sq ft. I got my total right hip replacement 15 days ago. Some/most days have been tough. A huge thanks to the team at P4 Physical Therapy Andrews Physical Therapy, Asheville, Hwy. Today almost no cane use. Walked through Rural King, Harbor Freight and Hobby Lobby without it and no pain. Not to say there is not muscles being strengthened and rebuilt. But this is a huge step for me! I have felt the prayers from my many of my friends. Prayers work. I am so thankful I serve a risen Lord. Keep 'em coming. Thank You!

Prayer Warriors: I have a pastor friend that satan is attacking his church fellowship. Some members have started lies about his church, totally unfounded. Now one admits of lying, two more to go. It is a small church with limited funds especially to pay a lawyer. They are NOT asking for money, only prayers to kick the devil out. They are on the verge of loosing their meeting place. Actually were moving from the current location but that has been forgiven for a couple of months. Please pray hard, we can't let the devil win this!!!
I will give you a report ASAP.

I just watched an accidental watch. It was on WATE channel 6 in Knoxville. Faith Promise Church in west Knoxville. Mark Packer was instrumental in cooperation with the FCA.
I am not a football fan, just like to see UT win.
Inky Johnson gave an awesome testimony and message along with Chris Blue doing the music.
As it was going off, Inky had s phrase he said over and a great phrase, wish I had said it. If you saw the program please fill in the blanks. "Don't judge each day by the harvest you reap, but it is the seeds you sow". I will try to find a link and add in my comments. I just ask Mark where to find the replay at.
