🏈🔥 REVIVAL AT OHIO STATE! BUCKEYE ATHLETES SHARE JESUS WITH NEARLY 1,000 STUDENTS — AND 35 ARE BAPTIZED! 🙌✝️
Forget the stadium lights for a moment. One of the biggest wins at Ohio State this fall didn’t happen on the field.
On October 19, 2026, nearly 1,000 students and guests packed into “Fall Kickoff: An Invitation to Jesus,” an evening of worship, prayer, testimonies, and Gospel preaching led by current and former Ohio State athletes.
And by the end of the night, 35 people stepped into the water to be baptized!
Former Ohio State swimmer Mairin O’Brien, who helped organize the event, shared the incredible news. This was the third year of the gathering, and it’s quickly become a place where student-athletes boldly share their faith with fellow students.
Buckeye football players Beau Atkinson, T.J. Alford, Epi Sitanilei, and Carson Hinzman were among those who stood up and told their stories.
Offensive lineman Carson Hinzman got real about the pressure of big-time college football. There was a season when he struggled to get playing time and started questioning his future in the sport.
“I felt that my validation came through what I did in my sport,” he admitted.
But his dad encouraged him to pray. And in that difficult season, Hinzman discovered a deeper faith, and an identity that isn’t built on stats, snaps, or performance.
That’s a message every student needs to hear. Your worth isn’t found in your grades, your followers, or your achievements. It’s found in Jesus.
