Carlene Christian reflects on communion, on seeing people she knows & hasn't met yet participate: "to me, that's what communion is, and it's so beautiful. And sometimes I just want to sit there and cry of joy.. that all these people, we're a part of one another."

We offer communion in our 9:00am Sanctuary service every Sunday & in all other services on the first Sunday of the month. We would love to have you join us any Sunday.❤

Each year, churches from across Holston Conference UMC contribute to a mission offering at Annual Conference. Our Fifth Sunday offering tomorrow will go toward Holston's offering, which will be shared between Ripples of Faith: Kenya Mission Project, led by Rev. Robert Kariuki, and the 2026 Endowment for Theological Education Fund that supports the education and equipping of pastors in Africa, Europe, and the Philippines.

All loose cash tomorrow will be counted for the offering, as well as any checks or giving designated as “Fifth Sunday Offering.” We hope you’ll give generously as we reach out around the world through our connectional church!

Carlene & Mike Christian are “all in” at Munsey in their own ways. Carlene serves wherever she is needed, filling in for Matthew Brickey on the organ, playing in the handbell choir, helping in the Melting Pot, & recently reaching out to members who hadn't yet scheduled church directory photos. "That's not my comfort zone," she admits. "But I stepped out of that zone because I knew the church needed help."

Mike, who describes himself as more of a behind-the-scenes supporter, says his role is simple: doing whatever he can to support Carlene’s volunteering, & supporting the church through his stewardship.

We want everyone in our Munsey family in our new directory! We’ll have members of our church directory team set up in the Gathering Place on May 31, June 7, & June 14 after worship services to take pictures if you missed the earlier dates.

Visit munsey.org/church-directory to sign up for a Sunday, & it will just take a few minutes to snap your picture after worship!
