🕊️ Pastor Andrew continued in the series “The Essential Spirit”, diving deeper into what it really means to be empowered by the Holy Spirit while also being rooted in the love of God.

The Holy Spirit is your Comforter, Advocate, Helper, guiding you into all truth. He is your lifeline! Jesus declared it was to our advantage that He leave so the Holy Spirit could come! (John 16:7-15) Think about that. The Holy Spirit brings Jesus’ ministry into your heart, empowering you from within.

Spiritual gifts aren't confusing, weird, or outdated. They're FOR THE ALL BELIEVERS. That's why the enemy wants you to be uninformed about what's available to you. But God's will as revealed in scripture is crystal clear: He wants you equipped with divine enablement. The Holy Spirit distributes gifts for the common good, to edify the body of Christ, and to glorify Jesus! (1 Corinthians 12:4-11) We are called to earnestly desire these higher gifts while walking in unprecedented, sacrificial love!

Next week, we'll dive into 1 Corinthians 14 with practical instruction on how these gifts operate. If you've never been filled with the Holy Spirit, it's as simple as asking in faith, just like you received salvation. You don't have to beg, bargain, or prove yourself worthy.

God wants to fill you more than you want to be filled. The Holy Spirit isn't given reluctantly or sparingly; He's the generous gift of a loving Father.

Bring someone with you Sunday who needs to hear this truth! 🤍
