🙏🏼 Want to answer the call of Pope Francis and join him – and many shrines around the world – in praying the Rosary on Saturday? You’ll be able to on May 30th at 5:30 pm Rome time (11:30 AM ET).

A way to unite Marian shrines on the eve of Pentecost at a time when most are closed because of the coronavirus pandemic, the prayer of Pope Francis will be in unison with many shrines around the globe: the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C., Our Lady of Guadalupe, Our Lady of Fatima, Our Lady of Lourdes, San Giovanni Rotondo, and Our Lady of Pompei, will also hold a livestream and be featured on the Vatican’s stream. Many other shrines will simply join prayer with the Holy Father.

Their collective intention? The help and solace of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the midst of a global pandemic.

On Saturday, Pope Francis will join Marian shrines around the world and offer a livestreamed Rosary from the Vatican Gardens' Lourdes Grotto.

Ladies,

As Catholics, we believe we can help the faithful departed by our prayers for them. In fact, praying for the deceased is one of the spiritual works of mercy. With the churches closed, making it difficult to attend funeral Masses for the victims of COVID-19 or other causes, I’d like to offer a special opportunity for us to join together in praying for them.

Please join Father Rocky on Saturday, May 16, at Noon CT as he offers a special Requiem Mass for all those who have passed away during this pandemic. If you know of someone who died from this disease or other causes, I invite you to participate in the Mass and offer up prayers on their behalf. You may also submit their names to [email protected], and they will print out their names to be included in the Mass.

To participate in this special Requiem Mass, you may watch or listen on your local station, at relevantradio.com. https://relevantradio.com/, the Relevant Radio® app. https://relevantradio.com/listen/get-the-app/ , or go to Father Rocky page. https://www.facebook.com/FatherRocky/.

Together, let us pray for these souls whom God has taken to Himself, that He will have mercy on them and bring them home to heaven:

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May these and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

REMINDER FOR TODAY, 14 May

“Since prayer is a universal value, I welcome the proposal of the Higher Committee for Human Fraternity that believers of all religions should unite spiritually on 14 of May for a day of prayer and fasting and works of charity, to implore God to help humanity overcome the coronavirus pandemic. Remember: on May 14, all believers together, believers of different traditions, to pray, fast, and perform works of charity.”

PENTECOST NOVENA ASKING GOD FOR A SACERDOTAL PENTECOST
from Friday, May 22 to Saturday, May 30 (Vigil of Pentecost)

A global pandemic emerges, distancing Catholics from the Mass, only a few months after our Church received a shocking new Pew Research Report ( https://churchpop.com/2019/08/07/new-study-finds-70-of-u-s-catholics-do-not-believe-in-jesus-real-presence-in-the-eucharist/ ) that revealed 70% of professed Catholics do not believe in Jesus’ Real Presence in the Eucharist. Coincidence? One wonders. This is a “crisis moment” that should not be dismissed.

🙏🏼 Let’s pray like we have never prayed before!

The Pentecost Novena in honor of the Holy Spirit is the oldest of all novenas since it was first made at the direction of Our Lord Himself when He sent His apostles back to Jerusalem to await the coming of the Holy Spirit on the first Pentecost. It is still the only novena officially prescribed by the Church. Addressed to the Third Person of the Blessed Trinity, it is a powerful plea for the light and strength and love so sorely needed.

Pentecost Novena Dates: The Pentecost Novena for our Priests and Bishops goes from Friday, May 22 to Saturday, May 30 (Vigil of Pentecost).

Power Up Your Pentecost Novena: Be in a State of Grace (Go to Confession). Find time to pray, in silence, before the Blessed Sacrament. Add fasting, to whatever level God is calling you.

Simple Intention: We will seek the intercession of the Virgin Mary and Pope St. John Paul II, as our intention will be the same as that of the holy monk of In Sinu Jesu: “Johanninise the souls of our priests and bishops. Please, Lord, grant a Sacerdotal Pentecost.”

A great resource for those interested!

🌺 Happy Mother’s Day! 🌺
1 PM Eastern Time

It’s been said that a mother’s heart is the closest resemblance to the Heart of God. We are so dependent on our mothers, even to receive the gift of life! And throughout our life, she sacrifices so much to sustain us, nurture us, and love us. Best of all, we have a perfect Mother, the Blessed Mother, who does the same for us spiritually so that we can receive the gift of Eternal Life!

In thanksgiving for all mothers, there will be an offering of a special Mother’s Day Mass on Sunday, May 10, at Noon CT (1 pm Eastern our time) especially for all those mothers living and deceased whose names were submitted during the May pledge drive. I’ll also give a special blessing to all mothers participating in the Live broadcast. Join me Sunday May 10 at Noon CT on your local station or watch the Live Mass at relevantradio.com (https://relevantradio.com/faith/daily-mass-video/), the Relevant Radio app (https://relevantradio.com/listen/get-the-app/), or my Father Rocky page (https://www.facebook.com/FatherRocky/)

MONDAY, MAY 4, 2020

“Easter always ends in the Resurrection and in peace. This does not mean a happy ending, but a loving commitment that makes you tread a difficult path. But He trod it first. It is the promise of love which helps us pass this difficult road. This comforts us and gives us strength…It is a time to turn off the TV and open the Bible. It is a time to pull ourselves away from our smartphones and connect ourselves to the Gospel. When I was a child there was no television but we had the habit of not listening to the radio… It is a time to renounce pulling ourselves away from the cellphone and connecting to the Gospel.”
