EMILY GILCHRIST// Murfreesboro, TN

•What was your favorite class in college?
My favorite class in college was Instructional Management because it equipped me with practical tools and valuable resources for organizing my classroom and preparing for the start of my teaching career. It also gave me greater confidence in my ability to create an effective learning environment from day one.

•As a graduate, what would you tell your freshman self?
Looking back as a senior, I would tell my freshman self to rest in the assurance that the Lord’s plans are good and His provision is constant. This season is sweeter and more meaningful than you can imagine.

•What will you never forget from your time in college?
I’ll always cherish the community and friendships I’ve found. It’s been such a blessing to grow alongside a strong Christian community, and I’m deeply grateful for the ways the Lord has shaped and strengthened me throughout my college years.

•What was the best part of serving on leadership teams at The Well?
The best part of serving on leadership teams at The Well has been finding a community that is wholeheartedly pursuing Christ. It’s been such a blessing to serve, grow deeper in my faith, and build genuine, Christ-centered relationships that I will carry with me long after this season. I’m so grateful for the ways this community has encouraged and strengthened me throughout my college years.

CALYSA COMER// Thomasville, NC

•What was your favorite class in college?
My favorite class in college has been clinic because it is a hands on experience, I interact with patients, and it is the representation of why I wanted to go to dental hygiene school.

•As a senior, what would you tell your freshman self?
As a senior I’d tell my freshman self to trust in Gods plan, the experiences, courses, and friendships I have made along the way has all been thanks to where he has placed me and when he placed me there.

•What will you never forget from your time in college? Something I will never forget and always cherish from my time in college is my friends, from the long days at the library, to the movie nights, laughter, tears, and hours and hours of just talking to each other, they have truly been my biggest blessing.

•What was the best part of serving on leadership teams at The Well?
The best part about serving on leadership teams at the well has been finding a community that forced me out of my comfort zone, gave me accountability partners, mentors, and most importantly, has kept me consistently in the word every week!

-What is something that you will never forget from your time in college?

LUCY SHOCKLEY// New Tazewell, TN

-What was your favorite class in college? Why?
This isn’t really a class but student teaching has been my favorite part of college. Im not finished just yet, but it has been the most rewarding and confirming experience not only throughout college but honestly my whole life. Being able to build my teaching craft and grow relationships with my students has been so rewarding. I can’t wait to grow even more in my own classroom!

-As a senior, what would you tell your freshman self?
Don’t worry girl you will pass bio💛

-What is something that you will never forget from your time in college?

One thing I will never forget is the overwhelming amount of love I have felt through so many people in so many ways during my time at ETSU. Leaving home seemed so scary but I learned that “home” is not a place at all but a feeling and I’m so thankful for all the people I have found that feel like home.

-What has been the best part of serving on leadership teams at The Well?

My favorite part of leading at the Well was discovering Christ centered community and diving into the word with likeminded people inside and outside of my team! The Lord has truly used The Well to grow and prune my faith in greater ways than I could have ever imagined or comprehended.

We love you, Lucy! Congratulations!!!

-What is something that you will never forget from your time in college?
I will never forget the way the Lord showed up so intentionally in each step. College comes with a lot of change and growth, whether planned or unplanned; but the Lord proves his faithfulness in every season, making each one sweeter than the last.

Being on ministry teams at The Well has pushed me to grow in my knowledge of Christ, given me the opportunity to serve Him consistently, and is where I found my community.
