It’s Testimony Tuesday!

I have been a Christian since December 11, 1981 and the Lord has brought me through many trials for which I am eternally grateful. He is always so faithful, even when we’re not and He will draw us closer to Him if we seek that. My husband Tom and I retired in 2020 and moved to Greenwood; we were seeking a home church. God led us to Southport and Pastor Tim was the first one to greet us!

Since then, Tom and I have been privileged to lead the Seniors Primetime group for the past five years, which we are delighted to do! I immediately fell in love with both the traditional and more contemporary praise music this church offers, which is quite different from most churches today. I have also had the privilege of serving as a church musician for most of my time here, and for leading the Ladies Prayer Group for a time. We can both tell you that if you want a loving and caring home church, this is the place to be. Also, if you are looking for a way to serve your church and your community, they will definitely put you to work as God leads.

We so love our church family and they really ARE a family to us. We love our pastoral staff, our board members, our musicians and singers and all of our teachers and ministry leaders and helpers. We have people from every age group who are such an important part of who we are. Most importantly, the Spirit of the Lord moves in a mighty way here, because of His faithfulness, and because of the prayer, love and unity that everyone who attends enjoys. If you are looking for a home church as we were six years ago, prayerfully consider this one. I know you won’t be disappointed!
