Calvary Lutheran Church and School Indianapolis IN

Calvary Lutheran Church and School Indianapolis IN Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod Calvary Lutheran Church and School lives under the cross of Christ.
(1)

From the five crosses that hang in the heart of Calvary’s sanctuary, to those found on the walls of our Christian Day School, our members, students, families and staff are forever reminded that we are saved by Jesus’ death and resurrection, because God loves us. Empowered by that love of God in Christ Jesus, our mission is to Engage People In Christ through Connecting, Learning, Caring, and Serving.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father, unite your church in Spirit-filled worship. Give to us a passion for being together and joining as the community of saints that have been redeemed by the love of Jesus Christ. Move mightily among your people that we may regain a joy over your gifts of salvation. All this I ask in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Recording of Calvary's Contemporary worship service • June 7, 2026, at 10:45 AM.

Theme of the Day: “Go and learn what this means, “I desire mercy, and not sacrifice. For I came not to call the righteous, but sinners” Matthew 9:13. Jesus reminds us that his grace and mercy extends to all. God’s desire always has been for people to come to the knowledge of the truth and be saved. The gospel is for us as well. We are called to repent and believe the good news!

PRAYER: Almighty and most merciful God, You sent Your Son, Jesus Christ, to seek and to save the lost. Graciously open our ears and our hearts to hear His call and to follow Him by faith that we may feast with Him forever in His kingdom; through Jesus Christ, Your Son, our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

PRAYER: Lord of the Church, you have joined me to a family of believers who walk together in faith, love, and service. Keep the congregations of our synod faithful to your Wordy and make them eager to do your work. Guide our leaders, and help them fulfill their responsibilities with patience and understanding. Give me a vision which sees beyond the boundaries of my own congregation and a willingness to support the worldwide mission of your Church. Amen. (From Christian Worship: A Lutheran Hymnal, 135)

PRAYER: Blessed Lord, You have inspired all Scripture to be profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness. May I so honor Your Word that I gladly hear and learn it, so that I may be equipped for every good work. Sustain me always in Your truth for I do not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from Your mouth. This I ask in the name of Jesus. Amen.
