Lord help us in our sadness and frustrations. Help us to remember that You are still in charge and our real life is with you in eternity.

In this troubled world, Lord, we seek answers and come to you in utter frustration. Why? Only you can comfort us and give us hope for tomorrow. Help us to remember that the world is full of wonderful and thoughtful people, but the news media only talks about the bad seeds.

Good morning, Easter week!

03/14/2016

Easter is just 2 weeks away...the very reason we are all Christians. Pause to think what that means. God's ultimate gift to us (His son; our salvation).
And remember that no matter how hard your life is today and this week....Trust God to handle the things that are just too big for us.

God is my refuge and strength, a very present help in danger. He will guide us if we prayerfully allow him to. Right now we should be praying for our nation, that we can find the right leaders. Lord, let the truth guide us all.

As we look wistfully back at 2015 we mourn senseless deaths and cry out at the wrongs of humanity.
But let us charge boldly into 2016, strong with the hope that God gives us as he promises us a better world for eternity.
Hug your children, truly honor your spouse and go to church a little more often so God can work through you to make it all happen. He blesses you every day if you let Him!

Wise men still seek Him. Happy Birthday...consider for a moment the significance of that birth and how it has changed our world. Merry Christmas.

"The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want...."
Think about what that really means. Especially on the days when all Hell breaks loose in your life...He is still in control if you let him!

It is with a sad heart that we share with you the loss of Anne's husband, Danny Lotz. He has suffered from many medical issues in the past few years and died this week from complications of a near-drowning in his pool. Anne glorifies his ascent into Heaven, and posted this information on her FB page, which you can follow here: http://www.facebook.com/AnneGrahamLotz She posts daily devotionals on that page, so it is a great resource!
Our thoughts and prayers are with Anne and her family in this time of loss.

Danny Lotz: God’s Gladiator

Danny Lotz was a chief among The King’s …mighty warriors. He gave His Kingship strong support to extend it over the whole land. 1 Chronicles 11:10

Danny and Anne were married for forty-nine years. At the age of fifty Danny developed a severe case of Adult 1 diabetes. For over ten years following his retirement from dentistry he fought the ravages of the disease, earning him the beloved nickname, God’s Gladiator. He lost the sight in one eye and the hearing in one ear. His heart disease required five stents in his arteries. His renal failure dictated three days of dialysis each week, five hours each time. And yet he never complained, never slowed down, never gave up, never stopped investing in the lives of others. As a New Yorker he was plain spoken. As a German he was stubborn. As a Christian he was a compassionate servant leader. He was more than a man’s man. He was God’s man who triumphantly finished his race having fought the good fight, and having kept his faith firmly focused on the kingdom of God first. He moved to our Father’s House on August 19, 2015 and received the accolade of his Savior, Lord, and King who presented him with the Crown of Righteousness. We salute you, Danny Lotz. And we will never forget you.

For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. Philippians 1:21
