Synod of Lincoln Trails, PC(USA) SOLT serves all the Presbyterian churches and agencies in Illinois & Indiana.

Our goal is to GET THE STORY OUT about God's work in the world through people like YOU. The Synod of Lincoln Trails (SOLT) is a mid council of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), and is formed from the Presbyterian churches in Illinois and Indiana. Comprised of eight presbyteries and about 75,000 Presbyterians, our mission is to develop and nurture church leaders for God's work in the world.

The Presbytery of Great Rivers is seeking a Lead Presbyter—a relational, visionary leader to serve 81 congregations across central and west-central Illinois. Rooted in Matthew 25 ministry and living into a new, collaborative structure, we’re looking for someone who will:

- Build connections across diverse congregations
- Support and nurture pastoral leaders
- Guide churches through transition and innovation
- Help shape the future of a presbytery ready for what’s next

Hear from Rev. Dr. Shannan Vance-Ocampo who writes the Bible Study helps which appear monthly in Horizons magazine to accompany the 2025-2026 PW/Horizons Bible Study "Finding Resilience, Joy, and Our Identity in Jesus Christ." Rev. Dr. Vance-Ocampo will bring us insights on this theme that apply whether you are using this study or not!

We will also have updates from PW’s Executive Director Susan Jackson Dowd and a PW Board report from Synod of Lincoln Trails’ representative Beth Snyder.
