Our Story

H-IPL is Indiana’s faith response to climate change! We are dedicated to bringing people of faith together to promote clean energy, reduce our carbon footprint, and advocate for climate change resolutions. We are Catholic, Jewish, Evangelical, Muslim, Methodist, Unitarian Universalist, Baptist, and more. We all share this earthly home, and we welcome people of all faith traditions. Since 2010, we have encouraged and supported over 50 congregations throughout the state to install solar panels on their buildings. We present workshops that teach congregations how to save energy, how to start green teams, how to dialogue effectively with others about the climate crisis, and how to spend congregational funds that align with climate stewardship values.
