As a new season begins, take a moment to remember:

You are not an accident.
You are not alone.
You are not defined by what you accomplish.

In Christ, you are claimed by grace, rooted in love, and called into community.

Before the busyness of a new week, pause and consider where you have experienced God's grace lately. Who has helped you remember that you belong?

May you find rest in knowing that the One who came and dwelt among us still meets us with grace upon grace.

"From his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace."
John 1:16

Rev Gracie shares the following as we start our new series this Sunday.

This Sunday we’ll celebrate the power of our interconnectedness as we begin a new series on the 2026-2027 vision for Orchard Park: Rooted in Love, Reaching Out in Grace. We’ll welcome back our Sanctuary Choir and Bell Canto on handbells. We’ll bring shelf-stable foods to stock the Blessing Box for our neighbors and gather at the Communion Table to remember the grace of Jesus Christ. We’ll end the service with our congregational photo, before we head out to Main St. to learn more about what programs are happening this fall for all generations. Our commitment to growing in faith will be evident as two adult education classes kick-off this Sunday.

Come and remember that you are claimed by the grace of Jesus Christ.
Come and remember that we are crafted for community.
Come and rejoice in the joy of being the church.

I’ll see you on Sunday,

Blessings Box: Nourishing Our Neighbors

As we move into the season of harvest and thanksgiving, we are reminded of God’s abundant provision and our calling to share those blessings with others.

Orchard Park’s Blessings Box continues to provide food and essential items for neighbors experiencing food insecurity. This ministry depends on the generosity of our congregation and the faithful efforts of our Deacons who keep the box stocked throughout the year.

By bringing donations on Communion Sunday, we connect Christ’s invitation to the table with our call to care for our neighbors. Just as we are nourished by God’s grace, we can help provide nourishment and hope to those in our community.

How You Can Help

Bring donations on Communion Sunday
Place items in the collection cart located in the church entryway
Donate items from the Blessings Box donation list

Together, we can continue to be a tangible expression of Christ’s love and care in our community.

Thank you for supporting this ongoing ministry and helping ensure that no neighbor feels forgotten.

"Give us this day our daily bread." — Matthew 6:11

💛 Every donation makes a difference. Every act of generosity reflects God’s love.

Sharing Our Gifts with Others

A heartfelt thank you to the volunteers who recently gave their time, energy, and talents to repaint the parking lot lines at Orchard Park Presbyterian Church. Thanks to their hard work, our parking lot is safer, more welcoming, and ready to serve everyone who comes through our doors.

One of the beautiful things about being a church family is the many ways we share our gifts. Some teach, some sing, some serve behind the scenes, and some pick up paint brushes! Every act of service, large or small, helps strengthen our community and supports the ministry of our church.

Thank you to everyone who helped with this project. Your willingness to use your gifts in service to others is a wonderful reminder that we are all called to contribute in unique ways to the life of the church.

"As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace." 1 Peter 4:10

We’re excited to introduce Wisdom Seekers, a new Sunday School class exploring themes from Pastor Gracie’s sermon series throughout the year. Each month, a new topic and a new teacher will invite us to look deeper, ask questions, and grow in faith together.

On September 13, Kick-off Sunday, Elder Robin Lindsey begins a three-week exploration of God’s Deep Love for His Children, looking at the Ten Commandments as a love letter from the Father to his children as they go out into the world.

Come seek wisdom, ask questions, and discover where faith meets everyday life. All are welcome!

Sunday was the last of the sermon series The Kingdom of Heaven is Like.

It was a wonderful sermon, it seems that everyone was able to hear what they most needed to hear. You can listen to the sermon online at our website and see what God is saying to you.

We want to share a few take aways with you...

Where you invest your love is where you find your life. Go where God is calling you. The Kingdom of God is at hand.

His Kingdom of treasure is all around us. When you open your hearts to His love, you will find it.

Quiet the interruption and notifications in your life; take time to reflect what or who it is that you truly love. That is where you will find your life.

You can listen to the sermon online at our website, www.orchardpark.org, and see what God is saying to you.

Next week we start a new series, Rooted in Love, Reaching Out in Grace.

We can't wait to have you worship with us!

Jesus describes God’s Kingdom as a treasure so precious that everything else is reordered around it. Yet releasing the things that compete for our hearts—possessions, schedules, ambitions, and distractions—is rarely easy.

Romans reminds us that God is continually working to shape us into the likeness of Christ. Even our struggle to let go can become part of that transforming work.

What are you clinging to that keeps you from fully receiving the life Christ offers? Today, sit quietly with that question. Trust that God’s love does not condemn or abandon us; it liberates us to loosen our grip on lesser treasures and embrace the life that is truly life.

Prayer: Loving God, reveal what competes for my heart. Give me courage to release it and reorient my life around the priceless treasure of your Kingdom. Amen.

Rev. Gracie shares the following as we start to prepare for Sunday's service:

This Sunday we’ll conclude our sermon series on Jesus’ parables with one of my favorites - The Pearl of Great Price. Every time I hear Jesus speak of this treasure I am enchanted. And every time I hear a man "selling all he has,” the Spirit reveals anew those competing affections to which I cling so tightly; the things that might keep me from taking hold of the life that is truly life. The Reformer Martin Luther once said, “Whatever your heart clings to and confides in, that is really your god.” The challenging news in this gospel: to live into the abundance of Christ’s Kingdom means we cannot let our hearts be abandoned to the work of lesser kingdoms.

What is hard to imagine releasing to draw nearer to Christ?
What is keeping you from orienting your heart, schedule, budget, and life around the work of the Kingdom of God?

These are not easy questions to sit with, as Jesus came not to give us an easy life but a meaningful one. Thanks be to God we do not face these questions alone. We practice our faith in community. We point one another to the sacred treasure that is Christ.

If you feel yourself possessed by possessions or missing life’s mission with daily distractions, come be reminded of God’s love that liberates us to new life.

We hope to see you at Orchard Park Sunday at 10:00, we have a seat saved for you!
