What happens when life falls apart?

This week, as we wrapped up our Story Formed series, we heard from a couple whose family walked through seasons of crisis, uncertainty, and deep hurt. In those moments, they experienced something beautiful: they weren’t left to carry their burdens alone.

Through meals, prayers, childcare, conversations, and countless acts of faithfulness, God provided people who stepped into the hard places with them. As one of them described it, they had people willing to “jump into the mud” beside them.

Their story isn’t ultimately about one family, or even about our church. It’s about a God who cares for His people and often chooses to do so through the hands and feet of others.

Galatians 6:2 calls us to “carry each other’s burdens.” This story is a reminder that the Church is at its best when we do exactly that.

Who has helped carry your burden in a difficult season? And who might need you to walk alongside them today?

"He will not fail you."

Sometimes we place our faith in an outcome instead of in God. We pray for a specific result, a certain timeline, or the way we think things should unfold. But true surrender means trusting Him with the whole situation—even when it doesn't look the way we hoped.

In this week's Story Formed, William and Justine share how God taught them to stop focusing on the outcome and start trusting the One who holds it all.

Whatever you're walking through today, remember: God is faithful. Surrender it to Him, and trust that He is working all things together for your good.

Faith isn't believing in a perfect storyline—it's trusting in a perfect Savior.

Some seasons don't make sense while you're living them. The failure you regret, the waiting you resent, the chapter you'd rather erase—God is not finished with any of it.

What He redeems, He doesn't waste. What He restores, He uses for His glory and your good.

You may not see His hand clearly right now, but His hand has never left your story. Not for a moment.

Keep trusting. God is still writing. 🤍

The disciples stood on an empty hillside with hearts full of hope, holding onto Jesus’ final promise: “I am with you always.”

That promise carried them through uncertainty, sacrifice, and the unknown ahead.

And honestly, it’s the same promise we carry today.

Whether you’re packing up for a new season, letting go of someone you love, stepping into retirement, walking into a hospital room, sitting in a boardroom, or simply trying to make it through a hard conversation — you are not alone.

Jesus’ presence isn’t limited to certain places or stages of life. He meets us right where we are. Every space becomes holy ground when we remember Emmanuel: God with us.

What’s one place in your life where you’ve been feeling alone lately? How would it change things if you truly believed He was walking beside you there?

“And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
— Matthew 28:20

Prayer: Jesus, thank You for staying close in every uncertain moment.

Challenge: Write the word “Emmanuel” somewhere you’ll see it today. Let it remind you to pause, pray, and invite Christ into one anxiety you’re carrying.

You are never walking alone.

Yes, Jesus is present when believers gather together.
But don’t miss this truth:
When you walk into work, He’s with you.
When you sit in that classroom, He’s with you.
When you’re battling anxiety, grief, or uncertainty, He’s with you.
When no one else sees you… He does.

“And behold, I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” — Matthew 28:20

Walk with confidence today knowing His presence goes before you. 🤍

We’re already going everywhere.
Jesus simply added the mission: make disciples.

The Great Commission wasn’t just for pastors or missionaries — it’s for all of us in our everyday lives.

A few practical ways to start:
→ Text someone and check on their faith journey
→ Invite a coworker to lunch and talk about Jesus
→ Pray before practice, class, or meetings
→ Share what God is teaching you
→ Serve someone intentionally this week

While you are going… make disciples. ✝️

We could not let Senior Sunday go by without acknowledging one of our special seniors! Addison has been faithfully serving at Hutto Community Church for over four years. She has been serving in our babies and toddlers room every Sunday, provided childcare for our weekly Bible Studies, and has been a personal babysitter for many of our kids. She is affectionately known by the kids as their “church tia” and “my Addison”. She has been the biggest blessing to our kids with her gentleness and kindness. She is so very loved and we are so proud of where she is going! Continue with us in praying over her graduation, future plans, and thanking God for the blessing she has been to us. ☀️✝️⛪️
