Good morning Members and friends of First Methodist Church, I wan to let you know of a rich opportunity to hear our Bishop , Carolyn Moore, speak on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at Helena Methodist Church.
I received the following from our Presiding Elder Rudy Guess…

We are looking forward to hosting Bishop Carolyn Moore this Wednesday, at 2:00 for one of her teaching sessions in our Conference. She will be teaching on the topic, "What does it mean to be Global Methodist? This is for preachers and laity. I have seen her power point for the presentation and it is very rich in content. She will be with us from 2:00 to 4:00 pm., Helena Methodist Church.

Members and friends of First Methodist Church Hueytown…due to inclement weather (extensive rain today) that has great potential for freezing on roads this afternoon…the Daycare at First Methodist Church has decided to close on Monday, January 26th!
The church office will also be closed on Monday, January 26, 2026. Please pass the word along and stay safe.

Good afternoon Members and Friends…I wanted to give you all an update for the weekend. We are so very fortunate NOT to be in Winter Weathers Snow and Ice trek from the North. Please though, keep all those being affected by the storm event in your prayers.

While we are not in the path of Snow and Ice, we are in the path of an Artic Blast of Frigid Air. Please be aware and protect yourselves from the cold.

We will have all scheduled Sunday events. Small groups starting at 8:45, 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. respectively. Worship at 10:00 am. For rhose who can make it, see you then, and those who can’t, join us online for worship at 10:00 a.m.
There are several church meetings as well on Sunday afternoon. If tou aren’t sure about your meeting , contact your committee chairperson .
