Devotional: “Shine for Jesus”

Scripture:
“You are the light of the world… Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.”
— Matthew 5:14–16 (adapted for kids)

Devotional Thought:
Jesus tells us something amazing—you are a light. That means when you follow Him, your life shines! Just like a bright light in a dark room, God’s love in you helps others see hope, kindness, and truth.

A city on a hill can’t be hidden, and a light isn’t meant to be covered up. God didn’t make you to hide your faith—He made you to shine it.

You shine when you are kind.
You shine when you forgive.
You shine when you help someone.
You shine when you choose what’s right—even when no one is watching.

When people see your good choices, they don’t just see you—they see God’s love through you. And that brings glory to God.

So today, remember:
You are God’s light. Shine bright for Jesus.

Devotional: “God Loves You This Much”

Scripture:
“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
— John 3:16

Devotional Thought:
God doesn’t just say He loves us—He showed it. The Bible tells us that God loved the world so much that He gave His Son, Jesus, for us. That means you. Not just grown-ups. Not just good people. Not just church people. Everyone.

God’s love isn’t small. It isn’t weak. It isn’t something we earn by being perfect. God loves us because that’s who He is.

Jesus came so we could know God, be forgiven, and live forever with Him. When we believe in Jesus, we become part of God’s family forever.

So when you feel lonely, scared, or not good enough, remember this truth:
God chose you. God loves you. God sent Jesus for you.
