What an Amazing Day of Mission! ❤️

Today was filled with joy, laughter, and the love of Christ. We played soccer and basketball with the children, made colorful cross necklaces using beans and rocks, and shared the hope of the gospel through Bible stories and personal gospel presentations.

We also had the privilege of serving hardworking daily laborers, sojourners, and people experiencing homelessness. A fun visit to a local Mexican candy store brought smiles and opportunities to connect with the community.

Most of all, we rejoice because we witnessed many people placing their faith in Jesus Christ. What a reminder that Jesus is alive! God is still calling people to Himself, saving sinners, healing broken hearts, restoring lives, and transforming families through the power of the gospel.

To God alone be all the glory!

Highlight of Day 2
The FBC Pflugerville Youth Mission Team made a difference in the lives of many through playing, interacting, and sharing the reason for the hope we have in Christ with people of all ages and backgrounds.
Today, we distributed school supplies and food packages to underprivileged children and families. Through crafts, songs, Bible stories, and gospel presentations, we had the privilege of sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ with many who came.
As Scripture reminds us, “I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth” (1 Corinthians 3:6). We faithfully planted and watered the seeds of the gospel, trusting God to bring conversion and spiritual growth in His perfect time.
One of the most encouraging moments of the day came as we ended our ministry time together in prayer. The students prayed specifically for the people God had connected them with and allowed them to minister to throughout the day. It was remarkable to hear them remember so many individuals by name—children, youth, parents, and community members they had just met. Their prayers reflected genuine compassion, intentionality, and a growing heart for God’s people and His mission. What a joy to see these young disciples not only serving others but also interceding for them before the Lord.

One of the biggest highlights of the day 1 with Pflugerville FBC youth mission team was hearing several students say that they wished they could stay longer and spend more time with the underprivileged families we were serving. Their desire to continue building relationships and serving others was encouraging and showed how God is already working in their hearts.

Another unforgettable moment happened while our team was ministering at an apartment complex. One child looked at us and asked, “Would you guys come to our place every day?” That simple question deeply touched my heart. It revealed a profound longing for love, attention, hope, and connection.

These children genuinely enjoy spending time with us, but more importantly, they are responding to the love of Jesus that is being demonstrated through our presence and service. They appreciate the care, encouragement, and hope that we bring. Moments like these remind us that ministry is not just about programs or activities—it is about people. It is about showing Christ’s love in tangible ways and being present with those who often feel forgotten.

Today was a powerful reminder that even small acts of kindness can make a lasting impact. We came to serve, but in many ways, these children ministered to us by revealing the deep hunger for love, belonging, and the hope found in Jesus Christ.

“Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 19:14)

What an incredible week of ministry!

The Word Ministries Youth Mission Team (pastor Caleb Semien sister Kayla Lewis), partnering with Glocal Mission (David Kim Erick Solache, VRodriguez 🤍), prepared and distributed hundreds of care packages while sharing the love, hope, and saving message of Jesus Christ with people throughout the community.

We give all glory, honor, and praise to God! We were blessed to witness many individuals place their faith in Christ and express a desire to connect with one of our churches.

When the Church truly reflects the presence of God through genuine love, faithful service, and the proclamation of the Gospel, people are drawn not merely to a congregation, but to Christ Himself.

Please join us in praying that the Lord will continue to use these young leaders to reach the unreached—both locally and globally. Together, we press on with the mission: one more person, one more family, one more community—until the whole world hears the Good News of Jesus!

11 hours of driving from Alabama to Houston.
Yet smiling like angels.
Serving like servants of Christ.

Over 300 families served in two days. Good: Make difference. Better: Make connections. Best: Make disciples of Jesus

Tired bodies, joyful hearts, eternal purpose.

Day 2: Another incredible day of serving as the hands and feet of Jesus!

Today, we had the privilege of serving over 220 families, including many elderly and physically disadvantaged individuals, through our food pantry ministry in partnership with several wonderful organizations of such as . We also had the opportunity to reach out to families in local trailer parks, sharing the hope of the Gospel through prayer walk and the Gospel Bracelet.

We thank God that we were able to gather many new contact connections, opening doors for future gospel conversations, discipleship, prayer, and follow-up ministry. Every contact represents a person loved by God and an opportunity to continue building relationships that point people to Christ.

Many people, but one mission. Many hands, but one purpose: to love, serve, and share the good news of Jesus Christ.

To God alone be the glory for all that He is doing in our Houston community. May He continue to use ordinary people to make an eternal impact for His Kingdom.

Day 1: The summer heat could not stop this incredible mission team from Prattville ! In partnership with Glocal Mission in Houston , they spent the day sharing the love of Christ through service, compassion, and the Gospel.

At apartment complexes in North Houston, the team engaged children and families through crafts, songs, choreographed activities, snacks, and care packages, creating opportunities to build relationships and share the hope found in Jesus Christ through Gospel story telling.

Earlier in the day, the team also served underprivileged individuals in downtown Houston by distributing sandwiches, care packages, and words and prayers of encouragement. It was a beautiful expression of God’s love in both word and deed.

We praise God for every conversation, every smile, and every opportunity to serve. Thank you, Prattville team, for your willingness to be the hands and feet of Jesus and to bring His light to the communities of Houston.

What an encouraging start to this mission journey!

We can hardly wait to see what God has in store for tomorrow as we continue serving, sharing, and making disciples.

Just had a wonderful conversation with these fantastic mission team leaders from one of the teams that will be joining us for an exciting mission adventure in Houston and beyond! We are so excited to welcome mission teams beginning May 31 as we mobilize together to reach our own backyard — one of the most ethnically diverse cities in North America and a mission field of nearly 8 million people.
