God doesn't just send witnesses—He prepares hearts. He's already at work in the people around you: coworkers, neighbors, even strangers. Your job isn't to have all the answers. It's to be interruptible, to listen, and to point people to Jesus. From Isaiah 53 to the waters of baptism, this story reminds us that the gospel welcomes everyone—no barriers, no exceptions.

What happens when a growing church faces a crisis—not from outside persecution, but from overlooked needs within? Acts 6 shows us the early church's powerful response when Greek-speaking widows were being forgotten in daily care.

The apostles didn't choose between compassion and proclamation. They chose BOTH. By creating wise systems and empowering others to serve, they expanded the church's capacity to care for the vulnerable AND boldly share the gospel. The result? The word of God spread, disciples multiplied, and even priests came to faith.

This week's challenge: Who are we overlooking? What gift has God given you to serve others? How can you both demonstrate Jesus' compassion AND speak His truth? The early church teaches us that when we care wisely, serve actively, and speak boldly, the gospel becomes unstoppable.

What if the key to a powerful public witness isn't just what we say, but how we live when no one's watching?

This week we explored Acts 4-5 and discovered three transformative truths about the early church: Their UNITY gave credibility to their message. Their GENEROSITY made the gospel visible to their community. Their HOLINESS gave weight to their witness. The world may not immediately understand our theology, but they absolutely notice whether we care for one another, share our resources, and live with integrity before God.

The story of Ananias and Sapphira reminds us that God sees our hearts, not just our public image. The early church changed their world not through perfect marketing or polished programs, but through authentic community empowered by the resurrection and great grace. What happens inside the church walls always makes it to the streets.

Following Jesus doesn't mean life is free of chaos, but it does mean we have a Sovereign Lord who steadies us in the midst of it.

When the early church faced persecution, they didn't just pray for the difficulty to go away. Instead, they asked for the boldness to keep speaking the truth. They looked at their challenges through the lens of God’s power rather than their own fear. Today, may our trust in His sovereignty be greater than the pressure of our circumstances.

The resurrection changed everything about how we read the story of God. Because Jesus is the cornerstone, His name is the only message we have to share. It's the only name that turns us from dead in our sins to alive in Christ.
