Tajweed Institute is a non-profit, 501(c)(3), It is supported by a dedicated team of professionals. Through this team, we are able to bring quality services to all members of the community Muslim, non-Muslims, brothers, sisters, youth, children and converts. The main focus is to make the community stronger by empowering its members to be sincere Muslims. OUR VISION:
A self-sustaining Islamic center established on the premise of building a strong community by empowering individuals spiritually, educationally, and socially based on the methodology of the Prophet (pbuh). OUR GOAL:
Our goal is to spread the authentic and thorough skills of Tajweed to all Muslims, young and old. This is done by certifying students of the Qur’an enabling them to carry on this knowledge to future generations.

OUR STORY:
In many communities across the United States, many of the Qur’an teachers in schools and Masajid are not properly trained and qualified in reciting the Qur’an. This results in our youth learning to recite the Qur’an improperly, and memorizing it this way. Sheikh Ra’ed understood that the best way to deal with this problem is by preventing it in the first place. He developed this institute to spread the knowledge of reciting Qur’an with proper Tajweed. We do this by training those teachers of the Qur’an until they acquire an Ijazah (certification in reciting the entire Qur’an). The teachers can then pass on this knowledge to their respective communities, thus spreading this Ilm (knowledge) to the future generations. It is so essential to learn to recite the Qur’an properly because even slight mistakes in pronouncing letters could change the meanings of the words of Allah (swt). Thus it is our obligation to learn it as the Prophet, peace be upon him, has taught us. May Allah (swt) guide and bless us in this effort to spread the knowledge of His magnificent book. ABOUT THE FOUNDER
Sheikh Ra’ed Saleh Alrousan was born in Irbid, Jordan. In the 7th grade he received the first prize in the Hashemite Qur’anic competition of Jordan for his beautiful Qur’anic recitation. After this he won numerous awards in Jordan for his recitation of the Qur’an. His interest in Islamic Studies drove him to pursue an Islamic education in the prestigious Islamic University of Al-Medina, Saudi Arabia. He received his Bachelors degree in Islamic Hadeeth there. He continued his education upon his arrival to the United States in 2007. He obtained his Masters in Islamic Studies from the Graduate Theological Foundation in Indiana. Sheikh Ra’ed served as Imam in many Masajid in Jordan and in the United States, including Masjid Al-Qassam in Tampa, FL and Ebad AlRahman in Saint Petersburg, FL. Sheikh Ra’ed is certified (with Sanad) in the memorization of the entire Qur’an, with the help of Allah and specializes in the knowledge of teaching the Tajweed of the Qur’an. Through his specialized studies he has acquired an Ijazah (certification) in the recitation of the Quran of all the ways of Hafs from Shatebeyyah and Tayyebat Annashr. He also has an Ijazah in the recitation of the Quran of all the ways of Shoabah from Shatebeyyah and Tayyebat Annashr. His interest in the knowledge of Tajweed is what led him to recently develop a non-profit organization called Tajweed Institute.

The Hidden Danger of Turning Away From Allah

Surah An-Nisa, verses 114–116, teaches us that much of our private conversation has little good in it unless it involves charity, kindness, or bringing people together. These verses also warn us about the grave danger of associating partners with Allah.

A powerful reminder to use our words for good, seek Allah’s pleasure, and hold firmly to Tawheed.

Some Faces Will Shine, Others Will Be in Despair | Surah Al-Qiyamah

Surah Al-Qiyamah, verses 22–35, describes the contrast between radiant faces hoping for their Lord’s mercy and faces filled with dread. The verses then portray the moment of death and warn those who turn away from the truth, live arrogantly, and neglect their return to Allah.

A powerful reminder to prepare for the Hereafter, remain humble, and never forget that we will all return to our Creator.

🕋 Why Is the Ka'bah the Sacred House of Allah?

What does it take to become a true leader in the sight of Allah سبحانه وتعالى?

In **Surah Al-Baqarah, verses 124–125**, Allah reminds us of the remarkable test of Prophet Ibrahim عليه السلام. After Ibrahim fulfilled the commands given to him, Allah appointed him as a leader for humanity. Ibrahim asked about his descendants, and Allah clarified that His covenant would not extend to the wrongdoers.

These verses also highlight the honoured status of the Ka'bah in Makkah. Allah made the Sacred House a place of return and security for people and commanded Ibrahim and Ismail عليهما السلام to purify it for those who worship, bow, and prostrate to Him.

This powerful Qur’an reminder teaches us about faith, obedience, leadership, and the sacred significance of the Ka'bah. The example of Prophet Ibrahim عليه السلام reminds every believer that true honour comes through obedience to Allah, not merely through family lineage or worldly status.

May Allah strengthen our faith, grant us sincerity in worship, and allow us to visit His Sacred House. Āmīn.

They Demanded to See Allah With Their Own Eyes | Surah Al-Baqarah 55–57
What happened when the Children of Israel demanded to see Allah سبحانه وتعالى openly?

In **Surah Al-Baqarah, verses 55–57**, Allah recounts a remarkable episode from the history of the Children of Israel. They demanded to see Allah plainly, and a thunderbolt seized them while they watched. Afterward, Allah raised them back to life so that they might be grateful.

These verses also remind us of the blessings Allah bestowed upon them during their time in the wilderness. He provided them with shade through clouds and sent down *manna* and *salwa* for their sustenance.

This powerful Qur’an reminder teaches us about Allah’s signs, His mercy, and the importance of gratitude. It invites us to reflect on how often we receive blessings from Allah yet fail to appreciate them.

The story of the Children of Israel in the Qur’an is not merely a historical account—it also offers lessons about faith, obedience, humility, and thankfulness to Allah.

Not Every Tradition Is the Truth | A Powerful Quran Reminder

Are we following the guidance of Allah سبحانه وتعالى, or are we simply following the beliefs and traditions we inherited from others?

In **Surah Al-Baqarah, verses 168–170**, Allah commands humanity to consume what is lawful and pure from the earth and warns against following the footsteps of Shaytan, who is a clear enemy to mankind.

These verses also expose a dangerous attitude: blindly following the ways of one’s forefathers, even when those ways contradict the guidance Allah has revealed. When people are called to follow what Allah has sent down, some refuse and insist on following the beliefs of their ancestors without questioning whether they are truly guided.

This Qur’anic reminder encourages us to examine our beliefs, choices, and traditions in the light of the Qur’an and authentic Sunnah. **Faith requires us to follow Allah’s guidance rather than blindly accepting something simply because it is familiar or inherited.**

Before Death Comes, Don't Forget This Warning

Are you so busy chasing wealth, building your future, and caring for your family that you sometimes forget to remember Allah سبحانه وتعالى?

In Surah Al-Munafiqun, verses 9–11, Allah warns the believers not to let their wealth and children distract them from His remembrance. These powerful Qur’anic verses remind us that worldly possessions, family responsibilities, and the pursuit of success must never become more important than our relationship with Allah.

Allah also urges us to spend from what He has provided before death arrives, when a person may wish for more time to give charity and become among the righteous. But when the appointed time comes, it cannot be delayed.

This Islamic reminder encourages us to reflect on how we use our time, wealth, and opportunities. Earn your living, care for your family, and pursue your goals—but never allow the dunya to make you forget your Creator.

Remember Allah before the day comes when you wish you had done more.

May Allah make us among those who remember Him often, spend in charity, and prepare sincerely for the Hereafter. Āmīn.

Do You Think Your Money Makes You Powerful?

Can wealth, status, and worldly possessions protect a person from the punishment of Allah سبحانه وتعالى?

In **Surah Al-Humazah, verses 1–9**, Allah warns against backbiting, mocking others, and accumulating wealth while believing that riches will make a person live forever. These powerful verses expose the dangers of arrogance, materialism, and looking down on others.

Surah Al-Humazah also describes *Al-Ḥuṭamah*, the crushing Fire, reminding us that no amount of wealth or worldly success can protect a person from accountability before Allah on the Day of Judgment.

This powerful Qur’an reminder encourages us to reflect on our character, avoid backbiting and mockery, and never allow worldly wealth to distract us from the Hereafter. True success lies in sincere faith, righteous deeds, and obedience to Allah.

May Allah protect us from arrogance, harmful speech, and the punishment of the Hereafter. Āmīn.
