It was a blessed and beautiful morning to celebrate the Feast of the Holy Trinity with Living Waters Lutheran Parish (Laurel Highlands Conference). Pr. Tyler Graham invited me to preach and preside, and then we enjoyed a joint parish fellowship meal together. Thanks for the warm welcome!

It was refreshing to attend Breathing in Christ with Marsha Roscoe this morning and to explore with her and others how to break cycles of exhaustion by recognizing the holy breath that gave us life. Thanks to Dn. Marsha for her presentation and leadership!

Another gracious welcome, today at Eastleigh Parish. Someone was waiting at the gate to announce our arrival, and the whooping, ululating, and singing started right away.

Last day in Kenya, post 2 of 2: Eastleigh Parish. We spent enough time here today to be served two meals, learning about their nursery school, their ministry programs, and their steady building program for a growing parish that will eventually be the cathedral for a new diocese. The neighborhood surrounding the parish is growing and predominantly Muslim, and even their building architecture is an evangelism tool, egg-shaped to give an easy image by which parishioners can explain the doctrine of the Holy Trinity. We then were accompanied into the neighborhood to visit the fabric shops of parishioners. It was a blessing to be welcomed by Pr. Balozi and his people, and to be joined again by Bishop Emeritus Meliyio and Bishop Catherine Ngina Musau.

Last day in Kenya, post 1 of 2: Nairobi National Park. We woke up early to pack, check out, and look for some wildlife. We saw 3 of the Big 5: rhinoceros, buffalo, and a glimpse of lions in the brush, among others.

Out of worship and on the road today to visit Pangani Lutheran Children's Centre. For those of you familiar with PLCC, the scope of it has completely changed in recent years. PLCC still saves kids from street life but also now has residential units and its own school, Maalum Lutheran School. It is also no longer in Pangani, but rather in Ongata Rongai, although they still serve children in Pangani. From there we traveled with Bp. Catherine, retired Bp. Ole Meliyio, and others from Kenya Evangelical Lutheran Church- KELC to Oliorum Parish, a Maasai worshiping community. We shared lunch, enjoyed a program, and exchanged gifts.

I forgot my phone in the hotel this morning, so these pictures are thanks to one of my fellow visitors, the Rev. Khader El-Yateem.
