Just want to take a minute to thank everyone who made the giveaway such a great success yesterday!! Thank you to Hollidaysburg First United Methodist Church for allowing us to have it there. It made things so much easier as far as space and available parking. Also, thank you to the church for providing helpers to serve cookies and drinks all day!! Thank you to all of the volunteers for your hard work yesterday!! You donated your time freely to serve others!! A special thank you to Barb Spicher for all the time she dedicates to taking in and organizing the clothing!! She is such a valuable asset with all she does!! Both the church and the ARW are on board to have it there again in the future which would be fantastic. Thank you again to everybody for all your hard work and dedication!! 🙏🙏❤️❤️

We started with 140 banana boxes full of clothes. We only packed up 14 full ones at the end. That's a successful giveaway!!

Just a reminder that the ARW will be closed at noon tomorrow, Good Friday, as well as Monday 4/6. Don't forget the Hollidaysburg Ministerium is holding a Good Friday Service at noon at Zion Lutheran Church in Hollidaysburg. There will then be a cross walk following that Service that ends at Hollidaysburg First United Methodist Church. Things will conclude there with an Easter Cantata. Hope you can make it. We also hope that you have a blessed and joyous Easter!! Without Friday, there could be no Sunday!! Thank you for the gift, Jesus!!

We were also honored to be asked as guests to the 58th Anniversary Celebration for Joann and Victor Ballash. Joann and Victor have long been supporters of the ARW and in another selfless act, they asked for no presents for their anniversary. They simply asked for folks to bring a donation for the ARW. Folks responded in kind and we ended up with multiple large boxes of food and health/beauty items. We are so thankful to Joann and Victor as well as the residents at the Presbyterian Home in Hollidaysburg!! Joann was being a little camera shy but here is a pic of the items donated. Thank you all and Happy 58th Wedding Anniversary to Joann and Victor!!!! 👍👍🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️

Thank you to the folks at St. Catherine of Siena Church for donating nearly 250 pounds of food to the ARW today!! That food will go right back to helping others right here in our community!! Thank you for the wonderful donation!!! God Bless!!
