Over 6,000 volunteers from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are aiding relief efforts in areas impacted by Hurricane Helene. They spent the weekend of Oct. 5 mucking out flooded homes, clearing debris, removing downed trees and tarping roofs.

Memento Mori!


Sally Ann Yeager Campanaro McFarland -- 27 SEP 1939 to 06 JUNE 2024 -- passed through the Veil after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s. Her husband, John McFarland, passed away a few months ago on Eclipse Day.

Sally and John raised four children in a blended family: Scott & Dana, and Beth & Sean, of different blood but united by the family Sally and John created.

While raising this mob Sally was able to hold down a more than full-time job and cook hot breakfasts almost every morning. She also enjoyed helping John to prepare gourmet meals almost every evening. Our family enjoyed these meals that were full of good food, challenging conversation, and socializing. It was most precious time to us and produced many fond memories.

She loved shopping, reading, jigsaw puzzles, dogs, and walking.

Sally owned, over the years, several salons in Altoona and California with her mother Ann Yeager and her daughter Dana Weight. She enjoyed helping people realize their potential through her skills as a hairdresser/beautician. She believed that by helping people look their best she was helping them feel their best.

She will be missed by those she touched during her long and productive life.

She is survived by sons -- Scott Campanaro and Sean McFarland, daughters -- Dana Campanaro Weight and Beth McFarland Vipond, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
