Rajab Al-Murajab is the seventh month of the Islamic year. The name “Rajab” is derived from the word “Tarjeeb,” meaning to honor or venerate. This month is considered sacred, and fighting or conflict was traditionally avoided during it. Hence, it was also called “Rajab Al-Asamm,” meaning...

Dear Community,

As election season approaches, we want to encourage everyone to exercise their right to vote thoughtfully and responsibly. NAIF policy is not to endorse any particular candidate or party but to highlight the importance of voting for individuals who genuinely support the values and causes that matter to our community.

Don’t just believe in what’s popular or widely said on different platforms. You have the skills and knowledge to look deeper and make an informed choice. When casting your vote, consider the candidates’ stances on issues that align with our shared goals and community well-being. Take the time to research, ask questions, and understand where each candidate stands on topics that impact our lives and future.

Your vote is a powerful tool. Use it to support leaders who will work for positive change. Let’s come together to ensure our voices are heard in the way that truly represents us all.

Thank you for your commitment to our community.

Sincerely,
President, NAIF

Muslims all over the world celebrate Eid-al-Adha on 10th of Zil Hajj to honor the willingness of Hazrat Ibrahim علیہ السلام to sacrifice His son Hazrat Ismail علیہ السلام in order to fulfill the command of Allah. At the time of sacrifice Allah عزوجل intervened and provided him a sheep to sacrifice instead of His son Hazrat Ismail علیہ السلام . Muslims celebrate Eid-al-Adha and sacrifice animals’ goat, cow, sheep, camels, and buffalos for the sake of Almighty Allah. After slaughtering animals the meat is then distributed among neighbors, relatives and needy people. However, slaughtering animals or wearing clothes isn’t all that one has to do in order to celebrate Eid-al-Adha.

Sunnah Acts of Eid-al-Adha

Sunnahs that every Muslim should follow in this holy occasion which are given below:

Wake up early and offer Fajr prayer. Our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ used to wake up early in the morning and make preparations for the Fajr prayer and perform it, so we also should do it.

In order to adorn yourself perform Ghusl, brush your teeth or do Miswak, apply perfume, and wear the best clothes.

Do not eat before EID UL Ad’Ha Eid prayer.

Go early to the place where Eid prayer is taking place.
To say Takbeer

(Allahu-Akbar, Allahu-Akbar. La ILA-ha ill-lallah.Allahu-Akbar, Allahu-Akbar. Wa-lilahill hamd)
out loud because it is one of the symbols of that day.
Go for Salat-al-Eid by taking a longer route on the way there and return by a different shorter route.
Perform Salat al-Eid as it is Wajib Salah apart of being a Sunnah and shouldn’t be skipped.
After performing Salat-al-Eid Muslims should greet each other.
After performing Eid prayer those who are able to give sacrifice should slaughter animals and then distribute the meat among neighbors, relatives and poor people.
Being a Muslim it is the responsibility of every Muslim to follow the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ .
Let us celebrate the Day of Eid by caring for the weak, oppressed and needy in our community, sacrificing animals for the sake of Allah Almighty by upholding the commandments of Allah and the Sunnah of our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ . May Almighty Allah enable us all to fulfill His commands and follow the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ . Ameen!

Spend few min and learn WHY MONDAY - Countries using scientific method ONLY for Islamic calendar are using calendar from umm ul-qura - read below what their definition of moon sighting is specifically the last few lines (75% no visibility). Also it’s worth noted this formula has been changed over dozens time since 1971 -
- From 1423 AH (15 March 2002) onwards, the rules for the Umm al-Qura calendar are:
If on the 29th day of the lunar month the two following conditions are satisfied, then the next day is the first day of the new lunar month:
The geocentric conjunction occurs before sunset.
The moon sets after the sun.
Otherwise, the current lunar month will last 30 days.

Under the current rules the lunar month will always start after the astronomical new moon and with the lunar crescent above the horizon at Mecca (often just barely so). Still, in most cases (about 75%) the lunar crescent will not be visible to the naked eye on the first evening of the lunar month as seen from Mecca (or elsewhere in Saudi Arabia).
