Update!!! 9:30 10/27/26
🤍 A little update on our sweet Ledger boy 🤍
We have some good news to share! Our boy is officially off CPAP and continuing to do amazing on room air! 🥹 His oxygen levels have been staying between 92–100%, and his coloring looks so much better today. We are so thankful for every little bit of progress! 🤍
Tomorrow is the last day of his antibiotic cultures, and so far, nothing has grown, so we are continuing to stay hopeful and optimistic! His bilirubin levels are still rising, but thankfully, they are staying below the threshold for the lights. The doctors are hopeful that as he starts eating more, those levels will begin to come down, too.
Right now, our biggest hurdle is learning to eat! Ledger goes back and forth between wanting to eat and getting too tired to finish. We got to try breastfeeding this morning, and he did SO good! It wore him out, though, so he has needed his feeding tube for the rest of his feeds. Right now, he is averaging about 20–26 mL when he eats on his own, and our goal is for him to consistently take around 60 mL by himself. Once he reaches that goal, they will monitor him to make sure he continues doing well.
We still don’t have a discharge date, as it all depends on our sweet boy and how quickly he learns to eat. We are praying so hard that this next big step comes soon so we can finally bring our baby home!
Thank you all so much for continuing to pray for Ledger, check on us, and love our little family through this season. We truly believe in the power of prayer, and we are so grateful for every single person praying our boy through this. God has been so good to us, and we know He isn’t finished yet.
đź’™ đź’™Ashlyn, Kaeden, & Baby Ledger
Many of you know that Ashlyn and Kaeden welcomed their precious baby boy, Ledger Brooks Twiggs, on October 21st. What should have been the beginning of a beautiful chapter has instead been filled with worry, uncertainty, and prayers.
Baby Ledger remains in the hospital in Chattanooga, and there is no discharge date in sight. Ashlyn is also recovering, so instead of being home together, they are spending these precious first days waiting for answers and praying for good news.
The Ronald McDonald House is full, so they’ve had to rent an Airbnb to stay close to Ledger. The costs of lodging, meals, gas, and other necessities are adding up quickly.
If you feel led to donate, no amount is too small. Every dollar will help with their Airbnb, meals, gas, and other expenses while they remain in Chattanooga.
If you can’t donate, please share this post and keep them in your prayers:
🙏 Pray for Ledger to continue getting stronger.
🙏 Pray for Ashlyn as she heals.
🙏 Pray for Kaeden as he cares for his family.
🙏 Pray that they will all be HOME together very soon.

Ashlyn has been there for my babies through some of our hardest days. Now it’s our turn to be there for hers. Thank you for loving this little family through their unexpected beginning.
Come on, village. Let’s help get them through this! 💙🙏
