And that’s a wrap on Mission Serve 2025! We took several students to Spruce Pine, NC this week to help with hurricane relief and clean up. Students worked on decks, roofs, installing water heaters and new flooring, and basic clean up. Everywhere we went people bragged about our HUB students- their work ethic, positive attitudes, and hearts for others. We are so proud of them and thankful to have them as the next generation of believers at Village and in our community!

Keep those prayers going for Western NC and East Tenn.

So much loss… So many hurting… So many needs.

There are multiple churches and organizations collecting supplies to get to these areas.

We will be collecting as well.

Specifically … we are gathering the following items requested by the Black Mountain Police Department.

Black Mountain Police Department’s Assistant Chief, said their community is in great need of specific items such as

water, baby wipes, aspirin, body spray, deodorant, toilet paper, C123 batteries, shaving cream, razors, and socks.

You can drop off at Village church tomorrow between 9 and 1. (May leave at front door if we have stepped away)

We will let you know of other ongoing efforts. Items collected tomorrow will be heading to Black Mountain tomorrow afternoon.

MISSION SERVE UPDATE- Day 5:

All of our crews finished their projects today! We ended the week with a big celebration, honoring the leaders, the students, and the homeowners. Some of the homeowners from this week even came to worship with the students tonight!

Our HUB students have worked so hard this week. We are so proud to see God working through them as they serve Him. Please pray for safe travels home and that our students continue to be spiritual leaders in the community as they grow in Christ.

MISSION SERVE UPDATE- Day 4:

Our students went back to their job sites today, and they worked hard! It looks like all of the squads will be finished with their projects by tomorrow’s deadline.

After work today, students had a quick worship service and message. Each night Mission Serve does a different church spotlight, and tonight Caleb got to speak on behalf of Village! He got to teach the entire crowd about the Possum Drop, Punkin Chunkin, and Jingle Jam! After the service, everyone went out to the Mission Serve block party. There was music, inflatables, popcorn, snow cones, and games. It was a great chance to celebrate and have fun with old friends and new friends!

We ended the day with devotions and a Village birthday party for Jackson.

Tomorrow’s the last day, so pray for a great end to this week with some amazing students!
