Last week, our incredible Parents Association treated our teachers and administration to a week full of whimsy, treats, and gifts. This was one spectacular Teacher Appreciation Week!

Our school was transformed into an underwater paradise. We all became fish! We had a Tiki Coffee Bar with delicious treats and a Flower Shop was set up with flowers from Clarksville Flower Station. (Thanks Lauren for bringing them!) The students were so excited to pick out blooms for each of their teachers and contribute to a bouquet in the classroom. The students also delivered cards and love notes for their teachers. We had a special snack day with treats and generous gifts for everyone at the end of the week.

We are so appreciative of our TIPS parents for their support and generosity. Thank you specifically to the chairs of this week, Amy and Freyja, for the hours of hard work they put into showing us all so much love. 🩷

Yesterday was one of the most exciting days here at TIPS!! Transportation Day!!! 🚒 🚛 🚜 🚔 🚚 🚌 🚙 🚐🚑 🚓🏎️

Thank you to our incredible Parent Association, especially Vicki Albert and Stacey Oken Bacon, for helping to organize and put on this annual event. We collected food for Food on the 15th and put our donations in Randi's Food Truck, honoring her memory.

We were delighted to welcome TI member Miranda Mittleman to our TIPS PA Pajama Havdalah last weekend. She shared her PAWS and THINK Books with our families and brought Weaver, the star of her books! We are so lucky and grateful to have such an amazing parent committee to plan events like these that build up our community.

TIPS will open on time tomorrow, Thursday, January 29. We will have Early Arrival beginning at 8am and Late Stay until 5pm for those enrolled. Classroom doors will open at 9:15am for our core program.

As many streets are not fully plowed, please drive safely. Please let us know if your child will not be attending.

We appreciate your patience as we dug out classroom doors, had the parking lot plowed again, and prepared the school for your children's arrival. Safety comes first!

ALERT: TIPS will remain closed on Wednesday, January 28. We appreciate your patience as we work to clear exit doors, sidewalks, and dig out the parking lot from all this snow and ice. We also have families and teachers who have yet to be plowed out.

On Wednesday, our incredible Parents Association ran a special mitzvah project for our school. They organized a donation drive for Elizabeth House in Laurel and collected 160+ food items for meals. Families donated sandwiches, snacks, treats, water bottles, bags, and fruit!

The students decorated paper bags and came to our Family Lounge to pack the lunches. It was a wonderful way for them to tangibly help others and "prepare" a lunch for those who are hungry.

Thank you to all our parents for helping TIPS do such a great thing, a huge mitzvah, for our community. Thank you for the incredible set-up, organization, and planning. We know LARS and Elizabeth House were so thankful!
