Hispanic-Latino Ministries BWC To promote the Ministry of Hispanic-Latinos in the Baltimore-Washington Conference of The United Methodist Church. Leadership Development

The Baltimore-Washington Conference (BWC) of The United Methodist Church is seeking to address the needs and become relevant to multigenerational Hispanic-Latino communities, which include 1st, 2nd and 3rd generations and beyond. The BW Conference acknowledges the diversity of the Hispanic-Latino community and the mestizaje with other races and ethnic groups. Therefore, the BWC will focus on three

areas to become relevant and fulfil the conference’s mission to “become fully alive in Christ and make a difference in a diverse and ever-changing world.”
The three areas of focus for the Hispanic-Latino Ministries are:

2025 Border Immersion Trip; April 23-27. Join the BWC for a transformative experience. Open for clergy and lay people, especially young adults, seeking to learn more about migration. Participants will have the opportunity to listen to God through the voice of the immigrant and be part of the change as they implement and take action in their local communities. The trip to San Diego, California and Tijuana, Mexico, is April 23 to 27. The cost, which includes airfare, is $1,480.
