FRIDAY — LOOK UP!
📖 Luke 21:28
“Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.” — Luke 21:28 NKJV
🙌 THE RIGHT RESPONSE TO THE SIGNS
This may be one of the most encouraging instructions Jesus ever gave concerning the last days.
He didn't say:
“Run and hide.”
He didn't say:
“Be afraid.”
He said:
“LOOK UP!”
Why?
“Because your redemption draws near.”
The signs of His coming should cause the believer to lift his eyes toward Jesus.
Our hope isn't in the condition of the world.
Our hope is in the coming King.
Jesus is coming.
The One who died for us is coming.
The One who rose again is coming.
The One who promised, “I will come again,” is coming.
And John gives us the proper response:
“He who testifies to these things says, ‘Surely I am coming quickly.’ Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!” — Revelation 22:20 NKJV
That's the attitude of the Church.
We're not watching the signs with fear.
We're watching with expectation.
The signs are pointing.
The promise is still standing.
The King is coming.
And the Church should be able to say:
“EVEN SO, COME, LORD JESUS!”
📖 Read: Luke 21:25–28; Titus 2:11–13; 1 Thessalonians 5:4–6; Revelation 22:20.
🙏 PRAYER:
Jesus, help me live ready for Your return. Keep my heart awake, my faith strong, my life holy, and my hands busy serving You. When I see the signs around me, help me look up rather than look around in fear. I believe Your promise. Even so, come, Lord Jesus! Amen.
❤️ REMEMBER:
The signs are not meant to make us afraid of tomorrow—they are meant to remind us that Jesus is coming.
