FRIDAY — LOOK UP!
📖 Luke 21:28

“Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.” — Luke 21:28 NKJV

🙌 THE RIGHT RESPONSE TO THE SIGNS

This may be one of the most encouraging instructions Jesus ever gave concerning the last days.

He didn't say:

“Run and hide.”

He didn't say:

“Be afraid.”

He said:

“LOOK UP!”

Why?

“Because your redemption draws near.”

The signs of His coming should cause the believer to lift his eyes toward Jesus.

Our hope isn't in the condition of the world.

Our hope is in the coming King.

Jesus is coming.

The One who died for us is coming.

The One who rose again is coming.

The One who promised, “I will come again,” is coming.

And John gives us the proper response:

“He who testifies to these things says, ‘Surely I am coming quickly.’ Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!” — Revelation 22:20 NKJV

That's the attitude of the Church.

We're not watching the signs with fear.

We're watching with expectation.

The signs are pointing.

The promise is still standing.

The King is coming.

And the Church should be able to say:

“EVEN SO, COME, LORD JESUS!”

📖 Read: Luke 21:25–28; Titus 2:11–13; 1 Thessalonians 5:4–6; Revelation 22:20.

🙏 PRAYER:
Jesus, help me live ready for Your return. Keep my heart awake, my faith strong, my life holy, and my hands busy serving You. When I see the signs around me, help me look up rather than look around in fear. I believe Your promise. Even so, come, Lord Jesus! Amen.

❤️ REMEMBER:
The signs are not meant to make us afraid of tomorrow—they are meant to remind us that Jesus is coming.

THURSDAY — THE GOSPEL IS STILL GOING FORWARD
📖 Matthew 24:14

“And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations...” — Matthew 24:14 NKJV

🌎🔥 A SIGN OF HOPE

There is something beautiful in the middle of Jesus' teaching about the last days.

He didn't only talk about what would go wrong.

He talked about what the Church would accomplish.

The Gospel will be preached.

Think about that.

While the world is shaking...

While deception increases...

While society changes...

The Gospel keeps moving forward.

The Church has a mission.

We aren't called to sit around watching the world fall apart.

We are called to preach Jesus.

There are people around us who need hope.

Families that need restoration.

People who need forgiveness.

Young people who need truth.

Prodigals who need to come home.

People who need to hear that Jesus saves.

The signs should not make us withdraw from the world.

They should make us more urgent about reaching it.

📖 Read: Matthew 24:14; Matthew 28:18–20; Acts 1:8; Romans 10:13–15.

🙏 PRAYER:
Lord, give me a greater burden for people who don't know You. Help me see every conversation, relationship, workplace, neighborhood, and opportunity as a chance to represent Jesus. Let me be faithful to Your Great Commission until You come. Amen.

📣 REMEMBER:
The signs are not a reason to stop working—they are a reason to work while it is still day.

📖 2 Timothy 3:1–5

⚠️ THE SIGN WE SEE IN PEOPLE

Paul gives Timothy a sobering description of the last days.

People will become lovers of themselves.

Lovers of money.

Proud.

Unthankful.

Unholy.

Without self-control.

Lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God.

And then Paul gives one of the most frightening statements:

“having a form of godliness but denying its power.”

In other words, there can be religion without relationship.

People can look like they know God while refusing the transforming power of God.

That's why the Church must not simply ask:

“Does it look religious?”

We must ask:

“Does it look like Jesus?”

The answer to the world's spiritual condition isn't for the Church to become more like the world.

The answer is for the Church to become more like Christ.

📖 Read: 2 Timothy 3:1–5; Romans 12:1–2; 1 Peter 1:15–16.

🙏 PRAYER:
Lord, don't let me become so comfortable with the culture around me that I stop looking like You. Give me a heart that desires holiness, truth, and obedience. Let my life demonstrate the transforming power of the Gospel. Amen.

🔥 REMEMBER:
In a world becoming darker, the Church is called to shine brighter.

TUESDAY — WHEN THE WORLD SHAKES
📖 Matthew 24:6–8

“See that you are not troubled.” — Matthew 24:6 NKJV

🌎 THE BEGINNING OF SORROWS

Jesus spoke about wars, rumors of wars, famines, pestilences, and earthquakes.

But notice what He said first:

“See that you are not troubled.”

Jesus knew that the world would become increasingly unstable. He knew there would be things that would frighten people and shake their confidence.

Yet He told His followers:

Don't be troubled.

Why?

Because the world may be shaking, but God's throne is not shaking.

Jesus described these things as “the beginning of sorrows.”

The imagery is like birth pains. The pains tell a woman that something is coming.

The Church should not look at the signs and say, “God has lost control.”

We should say,

“Jesus told us these things would happen. His Word is being confirmed. Keep looking up.”

📖 Read: Matthew 24:6–8; Luke 21:25–28; Romans 8:22–23.

🙏 PRAYER:
Father, when the world around me becomes uncertain, help me remain anchored in You. Keep fear from controlling my heart. Remind me that You are still sovereign and that my redemption is drawing near. Amen.

👀 REMEMBER:
The world may shake, but the Church has a Rock that cannot be moved.

MONDAY — DON'T BE DECEIVED
📖 Matthew 24:4–5

“Take heed that no one deceives you.” — Matthew 24:4 NKJV

🚨 THE SIGN OF SPIRITUAL DECEPTION

When Jesus' disciples asked Him about the signs of His coming, the first warning He gave was not about wars, earthquakes, or famine.

It was deception.

That ought to get our attention.

Jesus knew that as the end approaches, there would be voices competing for our attention. Some would sound spiritual. Some would use Scripture. Some would even claim to speak for Christ.

That's why Jesus said, “Take heed.”

The Church cannot afford to believe everything it hears, sees, or reads.

Paul warned that in the latter times some would “depart from the faith” and give attention to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons.

📖 Read: Matthew 24:4–5; 1 Timothy 4:1; 2 Timothy 4:3–4; Acts 20:28–30.

🙏 PRAYER:
Lord, give me discernment. Help me know Your voice and recognize anything that would lead me away from Your truth. Keep my heart anchored in Your Word and my eyes fixed on Jesus. Amen.

🔥 REMEMBER:
The closer we get to His coming, the more important it is to know His Word.
