Disciples Home Missions is inviting all of us to encourage participation in Disciples Mission Week, September 8–13, 2026—a church-wide initiative that will bring Disciples together across North America for learning, service, worship, and shared witness. The week will focus on pressing issues such as food and housing insecurity, disability inclusion, and healthcare equity, helping us deepen our understanding and strengthen faithful responses in our communities.

I hope you’ll help spread the word in your congregations, newsletters, social media, and gatherings, and encourage churches to take part in the evening online events, the Day of Volunteering on Saturday, September 12, and worship reflections on Sunday, September 13. Resources, registration, and additional information are available through the Disciples Mission HUB and the Disciples Mission Week 2026 webpage.

The Regional Assembly of the Christian Church in the Southwest will be November 6-7 in Fort Worth, Texas. One of the major initiatives of this Regional Assembly will be the presentation and vote on a new Regional design, the governing document for the Region. The document is one part policy and one part epistle to the church.
