St. Stephen Presbyterian Church - Fort Worth, TX

St. Stephen Presbyterian Church - Fort Worth, TX An intentionally inclusive community, glorifying God in worship, fellowship, community and lives. We serve Christ through bold assertion of the Gospel.

A Welcoming Community of Believers

We take our faith seriously; but ourselves, not so much. Worshipping God and serving Jesus Christ and humanity are serious business, but they’re also joyful. They’re the evidence of God’s Kingdom present in the world, and that’s something to celebrate. We serve God through the worship of God in the timeless traditions of the Church. And we serve our neighbors i

n countless acts of mission. We serve one another through the genuine relationships that mark this community of believers. And through us, by God’s grace, Christ serves the world.

🍀✨ What an unforgettable week at VBS! ✨🍀
Our journey through Emerald Crossing was filled with faith, friendship, laughter, and so many special memories. From exciting adventures and meaningful lessons to songs, crafts, games, and prayers, it was a week to remember!
A heartfelt THANK YOU to our incredible volunteers, amazing students, devoted families, and faithful shepherds who made this such a fun, safe, and Christ-centered experience. Your energy, dedication, and love helped make every day a blessing.
We are so grateful for your prayers and support throughout the week. The memories we made this summer will stay with us for years to come! 💚
As summer continues, we hope you'll stay connected and join us for our Blessing of the Backpacks on Sunday, August 9, at 10:30 a.m. during worship as we pray for students, teachers, and school staff as they begin a new school year.
Until then, may God's goodness and mercy continue to follow you wherever the path leads! ☘️💚

S E N I O R 🎓 S U N D A Y

Sunday was such a beautiful and meaningful day in the life of our church!

We celebrated our graduating seniors, Sara Walters and Eli Polly, and prayed God’s richest blessings over them as they begin this new season of life and faith. We are so proud of the young people they have become and cannot wait to see all that God has in store for them.

We also celebrated Youth Sunday, where our youth led us in worship through Scripture, prayer, and music. What a gift it is to see the next generation boldly sharing their faith and using their gifts to glorify God!

And on Pentecost Sunday, we were reminded of the incredible power and presence of the Holy Spirit at work in our lives each and every day. ♥️🔥

We give thanks for the youth of our church — those who have gone before, those growing among us now, and those still to come. Their faith, joy, leadership, and love create a ripple effect in our church, our community, and our world.

May God continue to bless them abundantly more than they could ever ask or imagine. ❤️

This week, the Searchers class will host Ivy Beasley from CIS (Communities in Schools), an agency that has worked inside local schools to help remove barriers and keep students on track to graduate.

Next Sunday we’ll start a 2-week reprise of the Sacred Pathways study that we did a year or two ago. We’ll be looking at different ways we may prefer to approach God and how we might facilitate those pathways at St. Stephen.

Please join us in the Eastminster Room at 9:15am.

📚Our recent Fourth Friday Book Group gathering was a joyful and well-attended afternoon, with 45–50 friends, family, and church members filling the room. The setting was warm and welcoming, with lovely plants, refreshments, and even Dubai chocolates labeled A Final Encore—a fitting nod to the featured book.

Pastor Elizabeth opened with prayer, and author J.W. Wilson was introduced by his kindergarten teacher, Kay Newton—a touching and memorable full-circle moment. J.W., who was baptized and raised at St. Stephen along with his sister, shared meaningful personal connections to the church, including his family’s contribution to its needlepoint.

He proved to be an engaging speaker—funny, thoughtful, and at times deeply moving—as he shared the story of Alexei Sultanov winner of the 1989 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition at the heart of his book. We were especially honored to welcome Jacques Marquis, CEO of the Cliburn, whose presence underscored that connection. TCU Press was on hand to support J.W. and facilitate book sales, and Carol Vance offered docent-led sanctuary tours following the program.

Events like this are made possible by many helping hands, and we are grateful to all who contributed. It was a special afternoon of storytelling, connection, and community.
