Good morning! We continue our studies in Hebrews 11, "The Hall of Faith."

"Moses - Faith in God's Protection" (Heb. 11:28-29)

The last two instances of Moses' faith recorded in Hebrews 11 center around his faith in God's protection. This morning, we look at how his faith was exhibited the night God delivered the children of Israel from Egyptian bo***ge. We will examine his faith in keeping the Passover which protected them from the final plague: the death of the firstborn. We also consider his faith in God as He parted the Red Sea and led them through on dry land.

God promised He would visit His people, Israel, bring them out from under Egyptian bo***ge, and lead them back to their promised land. He chose one of them, Moses, to deliver them. Moses was brought up in the house of Pharaoah's daughter (as we saw in our last study). However, when he reached the age of 40 years of age, he made a choice with far-reaching results. He refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter and he forsook Egypt, leaving behind all it had to offer him, personally. He chose, instead, to suffer affliction with the people of God so that he could fulfill God's purpose for his life. This morning, we examine how Moses' faith led him to make this choice and how understanding his choice can help us lead a life that is well-pleasing to God, one that can be used in His service.

The events leading up to and during the Exodus of the children of Israel from Egypt provide numerous examples of faith that are recorded in Hebrews 11, "The Hall of Faith." This morning, we look at an unexpected example of faith found in the lives of two semmingly insignificant people: the parents of Moses. We examine how they acted by faith to preserve the life of the one whom God chose to deliver His people from Egyptian bo***ge.

This morning, we examine the background of Joseph's life and consider what we can learn about the nature of faith as we examine how it was seen in their lives of these two men of God.
