There are many examples of godly, faithful mothers in the Scriptures. One of the best is Timothy's mother, Eunice, and his grandmother, Lois. This morning, we look at two ways that they impacted Timothy's heart and life: 1) By living out their faith in Christ in their daily lives, and 2) By teaching him the Scriptures from a very young age.

Happy Mother's Day! This morning, our stream will begin much later than normal, probably about 11:40 AM. We are taking extra time this morning in order to honor the mothers in our congregation and to allow a visiting missionary family to give us an update on their ministry.

"Mother's Day - A Faithful Mother" (2 Tim. 1:3-5, 2 Tim. 3:10-17)

There are many examples of godly, faithful mothers in the Scriptures. One of the best is Timothy's mother, Eunice, and his grandmother, Lois. This morning, we will be looking at two things these women did in raising Timothy that had a positive spiritual influence upon his life: 1) Living out their faith in Christ in their daily lives before him, and 2) Teaching him the Scriptures from a very young age.

We have come to the 5th warning/exhortation passage found in the book of Hebrews, each of which stresses to believing Hebrews the importance of taking heed to the Word of God. This morning, the warning focuses on not willfully sinning against God by rejecting and despising His Word, and then considers punishment from God for doing so.The writer uses two examples: willfull sins against God under the Mosaic law and the nation of Israel's sin by rejecting the ministry of the Holy Spirit during the book of Acts.

Good morning! We continue our studies in the book of Hebrews. Though written to Hebrew believers, there is much we can learn from the wonderful truths presented in the book.

What the law could never do, God did through His Son, Jesus Christ, with His sacrificial death on the cross for our sins and His victorious resurrection from the dead. He opened up an entrance into the Holiest, a new and living way of acces into the very presence of God. This made it possible for God to invite every person to "draw near to God." This morning, we look at three responsibilities we have in response to God's invitation: one toward God, one toward ourselves, and one toward others.

The animal sacrifices offered under the law were God's provision for the people's sins, but they could never completely take away sins and purify the conscience. This is why the Son of God had to come into the world and take a body of flesh l ike ours, yet without sin, so He could offer a better sacrifice. By the sacrifice of Himself on the cross, Christ put away sins providing eternal redemption. This morning, we consider how all three persons of the Godhead were a part of this better sacrifice: the will of God the Father, the work of God the Son, and the witness of God the Holy Spirit.
