Our Bishops of the United States are coming together this week from all across America to consecrate the country to the Sacred Heart in honor of the 250th Anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. 🇺🇸

To celebrate here at St. Kevin, we will be holding two opportunities to mark this moment in the history of the Catholic Church in America; Thursday, June 11th at 7:00pm with a Sacred Heart Prayer Service followed by an Ice Cream Bar reception hosted by the Knights of Columbus, and Friday, June 12th with a period of prayer and Eucharistic Adoration after our 9:00am Mass until noon in honor of the Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. We hope to have you all join us for either, or both! 🔥❤️🩸

Today, the Bishops of the United States will consecrate the United States of America to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Parishes and individuals around the country are encouraged to join the U.S. Catholic bishops in this historic occasion, beginning with this Prayer to the Sacred Heart of Jesus written for the consecration.

Our regular Wednesday schedule resumes this week, with Simply Prayer at 6:00pm, followed by Holy Hour at 7:00pm.

This is a special reminder that this Friday, June 12th, the Bishops of the United States will consecrate the country to the Sacred Heart in honor of the 250th Anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. To celebrate the upcoming Feast of Corpus Christi, our Deanery hosted our Eucharistic Procession through the heart of Bayside! Starting at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament, making our way to St. Josephat, and concluding at Sacred Heart, this year and a half endeavor was a huge success, with St. Kevin representation as strong as ever in our staff, parishioners, and First Holy Communion students and their families!

Big thanks to Bishop Octavio Cisneros for being our guest presider, and to all those who came out to worship of Lord in this beautiful way across all ten of our Deanery 5 parishes, and in a special way, our own St. Kevin community, who supported our Procession both in person and through prayer!

On Saturday, May 23rd, we welcomed our newest fully-initiated member of the Catholic Church of our St. Kevin Faith Family! After two years of diligent study, Leanne received the Sacrament of Confirmation at the Pentecost Vigil in the presence of her family and friends and our St. Kevin community, through the intercession of Saint Catherine. 🕊️🔥

Special thanks to Mr. Joe Thorsen for all of his love and dedication that he gives on a weekly basis to all of the boys and girls in our OCIA for Children Cohort and for preparing Leanne for her big day, and to Ms. Amora Laucella for overseeing all of our Formation preparations, as our Director of Faith Formation. Congratulations Leanne; We are so proud of you! 💒

We had such a great time at our St. Kevin Afternoon Tea this past Sunday, as we continue to celebrate our Centennial Anniversary! From our spread of sandwiches and salads to tea and treats, we loved spending this special Sunday with all of you!
