🌷Happy Mother’s Day | Celebrating the Gift of Motherhood🌷

On this special occasion of Mother’s Day, our school extends heartfelt wishes to all mothers. Thank you for your unconditional love, care, and dedication. May all mothers be blessed with health, peace, joy, and happiness.

Yesterday, 8th grade students from St. Michael's Catholic Academy were honored to participate in the Flushing Community’s Mother’s Day celebration and presented a beautiful Umbrella Dance performance.

Through their graceful movements and sincere expressions, the students shared their love and appreciation for mothers in the community, while also showcasing the confidence, positivity, and spirit of our students.

We would also like to thank our teachers for their guidance and our parents for their continuous support and companionship.

May love and gratitude always remain in our hearts. 💐

今日，纽约市议员莅临我校参观访问，深入了解学校双语教育特色及学生综合素养培养成果。

欢迎仪式上，八年级女生们以优雅自信的雨伞舞表演展现了我校学生良好的艺术修养与精神风貌。随后，市议员走进双语班幼儿园及一年级课堂，实地观摩双语教学，与师生亲切交流，深入体验我校沉浸式双语学习环境。

课堂中，学生们积极参与、自信表达，展现出优秀的中英文沟通能力与良好的课堂素养。一年级学生还特别献唱《天主降福美国》，纯真动人的歌声充分体现了学校注重品格教育与文化传承的办学理念。

市议员对我校温馨的校园氛围、扎实的双语教学成果以及学生们阳光自信的表现给予了高度肯定，并对学校在培养下一代全面发展方面所做的努力表示赞赏。

Today, our school was honored to welcome a New York City Council Member for a special campus visit to learn more about our bilingual education program and student development initiatives.

The visit began with a graceful umbrella dance performance by our eighth-grade girls, showcasing the confidence, creativity, and artistic talents of our students. The Council Member then toured our bilingual Kindergarten and first -grade classrooms, where he observed our immersive bilingual instruction and interacted with both students and teachers.

During the classroom visit, students demonstrated strong bilingual communication skills, active participation, and confidence in learning. Our first-grade students also performed “God Bless America,” delighting guests with their heartfelt singing and reflecting our school’s commitment to character formation and cultural appreciation.

The Council Member expressed great appreciation for the warm school community, the strength of our bilingual program, and the students’ enthusiasm and confidence. He commended the school’s dedication to nurturing well-rounded students both academically and personally.

Our school remains committed to providing a high-quality bilingual education in a caring and faith-centered environment, empowering every student to grow in knowledge, character, and leadership for the future.

In education, there are always people whose kindness quietly lights the way.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to two wonderful supporters at our school. Because of their generosity and unwavering support, our Chinese program has been able to grow steadily and thrive. Their help has meant much more than resources—it has been a true act of trust and care.
Mr. Heide and Sister Martina personally delivered students’ handmade cards and heartfelt thank-you notes to them. Each drawing and every word may be simple, but they carry genuine gratitude and reflect how deeply the children have been touched.

We hope this spirit of kindness continues to take root in our students. One day, they too will carry this warmth forward—becoming people who uplift and care for others in their own communities.

With sincere appreciation, we move forward together.

在教育的路上，总有温暖的光照亮前行。

衷心感谢学校里两位一直默默支持我们的恩人。正是因为她们的慷慨与无私，我们的中文项目才能一步步稳稳推进，不断成长。这不仅是一份实际的帮助，更是一份珍贵的信任与长久的关爱。

Yesterday, our students prayerfully walked the Stations of the Cross, carrying the cross with reverence and entering into a sacred time of reflection.
Through prayer and quiet moments, they were invited to deepen their faith and draw closer to God.

We are sincerely grateful to our principal Mr. Heide for leading our Grades 5–8 students in a mini retreat, guiding them to reflect more deeply on the meaning of the Cross, faith, and the gift of life. May this experience continue to inspire them to grow in faith, prayer, and love.

昨天，学生们怀着虔敬的心参与了拜苦路，在祈祷中体验耶稣背十字架的过程，进入一段神圣而宁静的反思时刻。在祈祷与静默中，学生们被邀请加深对天主的信德，更贴近天主的临在。

我们衷心感谢校长Mr. Heide在拜苦路之前带领五至八年级学生进行小型避静，引导他们更深入地反省十字架的意义、信仰的价值以及生命的恩赐。愿这段恩宠的经历，继续激励孩子们在信德、祈祷与爱德中不断成长。
