“We usually spend our hardest seasons asking “Why?” or “How much longer?” But at our women’s event, Peri shared a perspective that stopped us in our tracks: What if your pain isn’t a sign of God’s absence, but a sign of His trust?

To share in His sufferings is to know His heart in a way the mountaintops don’t allow. It’s a heavy invitation, but it’s one that leads us straight to the power of the resurrection.

If you’re walking through a “participation in His sufferings” right now, know that He is trusting you, holding you, and refining you.

Reflect: How does it change your day to think of your struggle as a sacred trust?

In Luke 12:47-48, Jesus drops a difficult teaching. He says that the servant who knew his master’s will but didn’t obey will receive a “severe beating,” while the one who didn’t know will receive a “light beating.”

When we get to glory, is Jesus going to line us up and start handing out punishments?

Here is the true context of what Jesus is saying.
💬 What stands out to you most about this context?

Sometimes we walk into an event expecting a “nice time with the ladies and a little break from the kids”… and walk out realizing God has met us in a much deeper way.
From our recent APCC Women’s Fellowship, one line keeps echoing in our hearts:
“It is better to do it hard with Jesus than easy without Him.”
Life can feel overwhelming, and it’s easy to lose sight of the bigger picture of God’s love and His work of sanctification in us. But He loves us too much to leave us self‑centered. He even uses our pain to draw us closer, to make us more like Christ.
The Holy Spirit helps us shift our gaze so that even our suffering becomes a place of fellowship with Jesus—He is with us, sympathetic, and fully understanding.
“…that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and may share His sufferings, becoming like Him in His death.”- Philippians 3:10 (ESV)
The prize of being with Him eternally is just too sweet. He is worth it.
If you’re in a hard season right now:
You are not alone. Jesus is with you in it, and He is using this to draw you nearer to Himself.
🕊️ Save this for the days you need the reminder
