MCC NoVA AND
THE CORONAVIRUS
Part II
Following some best practices in times of transmissibility, we will be changing some things around. Religion should teach us many things about life, but most of all, good religion should teach us to be open to transformation, change, and new possibilities.
We are a huggy people, but we also want to be a healthy people. We encourage creativity with new forms of greeting that don’t involve hugs (or Elbow Bumps – when we feel the need to cough, where have we been taught to cough? Yes, right in the crook of our elbow.).
Our means of serving Communion, as well as Communion Blessings, will be transforming as well. We will provide updates and instructions as we care fully move forward as a caring community. Thank you so much for your willingness to change!
Announcement from March 1
MCC NoVA AND
THE CORONAVIRUS
Part I
Being mindful of the news regarding the spread of the 2019 coronavirus (COVID-19) MCC NoVA will take prudent steps of cleanliness as needed to safeguard your attendance while at church functions and ask those attending to follow simple health guidelines when gauging your participation. Steps such as: washing your hands often for at least 20 seconds, avoiding touching your eyes or nose and mouth with unwashed hands, avoiding close contact with people who are sick, staying home when you are sick, covering your cough or sneeze with a tissue, and cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched objects and surfaces may all contribute to more healthy outcomes. We will update moving forward as necessary. If you need assistance or have any questions...Rev. Emma and our Board of Directors are ready to assist and support.
