Welcome to Mothers' Day Out Preschool at JBC!

Mothers’ Day Out Preschool, a ministry of Jerusalem Baptist Church offers a wonderful Christian preschool program for children ages 20 months through 5 years old. This ministry exists for the purpose of giving your child loving care combined with teaching and training in a Christian atmosphere, while at the same time offering a respite for parents!

While our program includes opportunities for cognitive development and intellectual growth, our focus is on spiritual maturity and social/emotional development. We believe that there is no substitute for loving parents and a warm family environment for learning and development.

Class Days:
Monday through Thursday
Hours: 9:00 am to 1:00 pm
We are in session September through May

Making Goodbyes Easier!🌱
Tips for school drop offs

✴Practice. Practice being apart from each other, and introduce new people and places slowly. If your child is starting at a new daycare center or preschool, make a few visits there together before a full-time schedule begins. Visit the playground! Practice leaving your child with a caregiver for short periods so that he or she can get used to being away from you.

✴Be calm and consistent. Create an exit ritual during which you say a pleasant, loving, and firm goodbye. Stay calm and show confidence in your child. Reassure him or her that you’ll be back — and explain when you’ll return using concepts kids will understand (such as after lunch). Give your full attention when you say goodbye, and when you say you’re leaving, mean it; coming back will only make things worse.

✴Follow through on promises. It’s important to make sure that you return when you have promised to. This is critical — this is how your child will develop the confidence that he or she can make it through the time apart.

✴As hard as it may be to leave a child who’s screaming and crying for you, it’s important to have confidence that the caregiver can handle it. By the time you get to your car, your child is likely to have calmed down and be playing with other things!
