Hopelight Community Church We are children of hope and our mission is to advocate hope for all. Jesus the Christ is our hope.

HOPELIGHT’S CONFESSION OF FAITH

• We confess that the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are one in God.

• We confess that Jesus Christ is the one and only Lord and Savior and that the Gospel is the power of God for the salvation of all who believe.

• We confess that the Holy Bible is God’s message to us and it was written by men under the influence of the Holy Spirit.

• We confess that God’

s Spirit communicates with us to create and sustain Christian faith and fellowship for service in, and to, this world.

• We confess that we believe totally in the plan of salvation, as described in the scriptures.

• We confess that baptism represents the death and burial of our old self and our
resurrection into new life in Christ and that we experience this as a public display of our repentance.

• We confess that all the power in this fellowship belongs to our Lord Jesus Christ, its head. All actions are to be carried out under His rule and authority.

• Due to the fact that we believe the Holy Bible to be completely true, our entire confession of faith can be read in the scriptures.

• We confess that in order to follow Christ we must pursue the fruit of the Spirit
and desire spiritual gifts.
