Mark 9:23-24 (ESV)
And Jesus said to him, “‘If you can’! All things are possible for one who believes.” Immediately the father of the child cried out and said, “I believe; help my unbelief!”
Stop the Worry
Do you ever come to the place in life you just don’t know what to do? I know a lot of people get conflicted by the difficulties of life and it makes us wonder what did I do to be in this position and how can I fix this. I’m often reminded by the man in the Bible whose son was in very bad condition, he encountered the disciples and asked them to pray for his son to no avail. The result was two fold he had the faith to ask but still struggled with unbelief. His famous saying is “Lord I believe but help my unbelief,” here we see this father in the middle of a battle fighting to see his son set free but still not getting the help. While many are familiar with the sons issues we fail to realize the struggle that the father was facing. This story is us, we are struggling with the reality of no one coming to help, overwhelmed with the circumstances, and the ones we think can help us are powerless to the weight we are under! So what do we do, that’s the big question we are facing and the answer is simple, go to Jesus. While we look to answers that are normal sometimes they don’t give us the end result we wanted. It’s only when we come to Jesus do we get the right answer so stop the worry and know Jesus has your back.

Say this prayer:
Dear Lord help me to overcome the things that keep affecting me in a negative way. Lord help me to put my faith in you as I navigate the place I’m in at this point of my life. Thank you for all you do and for the victories I’m seeing in my life. In Jesus Christ’s name I pray, amen!
