You can send a gift or a card, but nothing replaces you showing up in the room. Real love isn't found on a platform; it's found in being present when things get heavy.

Truth without grace is mean, but grace without truth is meaningless. This weekend we looked at the life of John. The guy who went from wanting to nuke his enemies to becoming the 'Apostle of Love' because he actually experienced Jesus.

D12: Week 4 John

This week we looked at the remedy for our generation’s loneliness through the life of John: The Disciple Jesus Loved.

John didn't start out soft and loving—he was a fiery, hot-headed "Son of Thunder". But over a lifetime of walking with Christ, he was completely transformed into the Apostle of Love. Why? Because John understood a massive secret: You cannot give away a love you’ve never received.

Somewhere between his fishing boat and being exiled in his old age, the Son of Thunder started looking exactly like Jesus. His final, repeated message to the church was simple: "Little children, love one another."
If you're tired of scrolling and feeling disconnected, take some time to watch this week's message and learn how to sit close to the source of real love.

You will never be able to carry a cross for Jesus if you aren't willing to carry a towel for Him first. Following Him isn't about reaching for a throne or getting noticed. It’s about a daily surrender that starts in the small, quiet moments of service. It’s not always easy, but it’s where the real life is.

You're not exhausted because you're not working hard enough. You're exhausted because you're climbing a ladder leaning against the wrong wall. Check the wall. Because reaching the top of the wrong thing isn't a win; it's a wasted life. Climb toward what actually lasts.

You were a dearly loved child of God long before you ever clocked in. It is exhausting trying to build a life on the shifting sand of a job title. But you don't have to perform a version of yourself that doesn't exist.

This weekend at The Hills, we were reminded that Jesus doesn’t want your performance; He wants your surrender. True greatness in the Kingdom isn't about moving higher; it’s about getting lower.

D12: Week 3 James

What do you do with a fiery personality, a short temper, and a massive dose of ambition? This week in Week 3 of D12: Disciples in the Wild, we looked at James the Brother of John. James was a regular, hot-headed fisherman whom Jesus nicknamed a "Son of Thunder." He was intensely competitive, constantly fighting for the best seat at the table, and at one point, even wanted to call down fire from heaven to wipe out his enemies.
But Jesus didn’t look at James’ intensity and say, "You're too much." Instead, He said, "Let me redirect that fire." James' life shows us what happens when raw human ambition is completely surrendered to the Kingdom of God. He went from chasing an earthly crown to becoming the very first disciple to lay down his life as a martyr for Christ.

Stop trying to tone down your passion for the wrong things, and start fueling it into the next step Jesus has for you.

Grab some time today to catch up on this challenging message!
