On Sunday, Pastor Cheryl prayed over the women in our community. Every kind of woman. We’re sharing it here because this prayer belongs to every one of you.

🕯️ The Prayer Room is open tonight — and it looks a little different after dark.

If you've only ever visited the Prayer Room during regular hours, tonight is worth a stop. The candles are lit, the space is set apart, and the room is open until 8:30pm. There's something about the evening — when the day has finally gone quiet — that makes space for a different kind of conversation with God.

We wanted to make sure you knew, because this kind of evening access isn't our usual rhythm. But Holy Week calls for something more.

Extended hours continue through Good Friday.

📅 Thursday, April 2 | 11:30am – 2:30pm

✝️ Good Friday, April 3 | 12-3pm

Whether you want to carve out some intentional time during the day, or you're not able to join us for our Good Friday Service at 7pm — the Prayer Room will be open for you. Come to pray. Come to meditate. Come to create. Come to sit in the weight and the wonder of what this day means.

You don't need to bring anything but yourself.

Good Friday isn't just a date on a calendar. It's an invitation to slow down, remember, and let what Jesus did on the cross actually land in your heart.

We'll see you there. 💛

The journey from Palm Sunday to Easter morning tells the most powerful story of hope our world has ever known. Each gathering holds special meaning as we remember Christ’s love, sacrifice, and triumph over death.

Join us as we walk through Holy Week together - from the joy of Palm Sunday to the sacred evening of Good Friday, culminating in our Easter celebration of resurrection and new life.

This is the perfect time to extend a warm invitation to friends and family. Sometimes the simplest invitation can open the door to life-changing hope.

A glimpse from last month’s BEHOLD, when our church family gathered to pray at the start of Lent.

Tonight, in the midst of Lent, we pause.

In the middle of the week, we are making space to slow down, to pray together, and to listen for God’s voice.

All ages are welcome in this peaceful space, kids and adults together.

BEHOLD: Prayer Gathering Tonight, 6:30–7:30pm | Christ Church Worship Center

Have you ever thought, “I don’t really know how to pray,” or, “I’m probably doing this wrong”?

Many of us carry quiet anxiety about prayer—about saying the wrong words, not sounding spiritual enough, or not doing it “the right way.”

In this series on the Lord’s Prayer, we’ve been reminded that Jesus doesn’t talk about prayer as a performance. Instead, He invites us into a relationship where we can be honest, and where He gently reshapes what we love, what we trust, and what we believe about God.

You don’t need a perfect script. You can begin with one honest sentence, said to a God who already knows you and loves you.

If you’re exploring faith or coming back to prayer after a long time, you’re not alone. You’re welcome to keep walking this journey with us.

If you’re waking up today feeling stretched thin, anxious, or uncertain about what’s ahead, you’re not alone.

This morning at Christ Church we’re in Week 3 of our Lent series on the Lord’s Prayer, focusing on: “Give us today our daily bread.”

We’ll look at the way Jesus talks about worry and provision, and how God meets us in our real needs—not just spiritually, but in very practical ways. Our hope is to offer an honest, hope-filled look at dependence and trust, not quick fixes.

After the service, we’ll break bread together at our Missional Community—sharing food and conversation in a relaxed setting. If you’re new, this is a great way to meet people and get a feel for our community.

Ever feel like there’s never quite enough—time, energy, money, or security?

Tomorrow at Christ Church, we’ll pause to reflect on one simple line from the Lord’s Prayer:
“Give us today our daily bread.”

We’ll explore:
• How Jesus meets real, physical needs (remember the Feeding of the 5,000?)
• Why He says, “Do not worry… your Father knows what you need” (Matthew 6)
• What it means to trust God one day at a time together

Come as you are, with questions, doubts, and needs.

After the service, we’ll break bread together at our Missional Community—good food, conversation, and stories of how God is at work. A relaxed, low-pressure way to connect if you’re newer or looking for community.

⏰ DST reminder: Set your clocks ahead one hour tonight!

If you could ask Jesus to teach you one thing, what would it be?

In Luke 11, His first followers asked for this: “Lord, teach us to pray.”

The Bible gives an amazing promise: “Call on me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you.” (Psalm 50:15)

Prayer isn’t just for emergencies, and it isn’t only for people who feel “spiritual enough.” It’s an open invitation into honest, daily conversation with God. No magic formulas, no perfect script—just real words to a real God who knows you.

As we move through Lent at Christ Church, we’re learning that prayer is less about performance and more about being formed by God’s love.

What’s one thing you’d want to say to God today? You can share it in the comments, or just whisper it where you are.

Wondering where you belong this Sunday?

This week we’re focusing on one powerful line from the Lord’s Prayer:

“Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.”

As we walk through the Lord’s Prayer each week during Lent and prepare our hearts for Easter, we’re asking: What does it look like for God’s Kingdom and God’s will to shape our lives, our families, and our community?

If you’re new to church, coming back after a long time, or just curious about faith, you’re welcome here. On Sunday you’ll find:
• A warm, come‑as‑you‑are environment
• Meaningful worship and biblical teaching
• Safe, caring spaces for kids

Service at 9:30am at Christ Church in East Greenwich, RI, serving our West Bay and South County neighbors.

Thinking about visiting for the first time? Send us a message and we’ll help you feel at home from the moment you park.

Know someone who is longing to see God at work “on earth as it is in heaven”? Tag them in the comments or share this post to invite them to come sit with you.

As we dig out from the storm and step back into our normal routines, it can be easy to jump right back into hurry and forget who we’re praying to.

This week, we’re slowing down to focus on the Father’s character in the opening line of the Lord’s Prayer:

“Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name.” (Matthew 6:9)

As you swipe through these verses, remember:
• God is our Father – shaping and holding us like clay in His hands (Isaiah 64:8).
• God is compassionate – like a tender parent who draws near to His children (Psalm 103:13).
• God is holy and faithful – perfectly just, perfectly loving, and unchanging in every season.

Our Lenten Prayer Room in the Connection Café is open this week as a quiet space to be with your Father, to breathe, to listen, and to pray.
