NEXT Sunday, September 13, is the Kick Off for our Sunday School and Church Program Year! Please scroll down to the announcements for all the things that will be happening in the next two months.
Of particular note is the start of our Rally Day/Involvement Day, where opportunities will be presented to the congregation to take part in the ONGOING REVIVAL of our church! Please plan on attending.
Also please note in the announcements, you are invited to join us in prayer and RINGING THE BELL for the 25th memorial of the 911 attacks. Join us at 11:30 am, Friday, September 11 for prayer and a NOON Bell Ringing.
Also, October 18th Missionary (and friend of the church) Kristy Engel will be joining us in the service. She has been in the Ukraine since 2022 and will report on the Asset Based Community Development program she is involved with. We will be taking a special offering for Kristy during the month of September. Envelopes are marked World Mission for Kristy Engel in the pew racks. Additional offerings will be made through different funds available through the church. This offering will go directly to her Global Mission expenses by way of ABCUSA. We have a goal of $3000.00.

Announcements
Ring the Bells on 911
We are joining local and state churches in Ringing our Bells to commemorate the 25th anniversary of 911. The event will happen at NOON on Friday, September 11 and will consist of Ringing our Bell, and a group prayer. We are looking for volunteers who feel honored and privileged to ring the bell for this occasion - or who just want to join us for prayer. Please see Randy or contact the church office if you are interested.

Christian Ed News –Summer 2026
Sunday School will be starting this fall on September 13th. Save
the date and plan to stay after worship for ice cream sundaes in
Fellowship Café. Our entire church family (all ages love ice cream)
is invited to celebrate the start of another year.
Get Involved !!!
Teachers: If you are interested in helping teach this year (as a lead
or assistant) please reach out to Ruth Burke. No experience is
needed, lesson plans are provided and prepared for you. Starting
as an assistant is a great way to try out working with our youth.
Nursery Caregivers: We are looking for “On Call Nursery Caregivers”. There will be sign up out side the nursery for volunteers to
sign up for weeks they can cover the nursery, when needed.
There is a speaker in the nursery so you won’t even miss the message! Talk with Ruth Burke if you have any questions.
Per our Child Safe Policy, background checks are needed for all
volunteers but can be taken care of easily by the church office.
Bible Study will resume on Wednesday, Sept. 16th at 11:30am
In the Church House. We will continue in Proverbs 4.
Adult Discussion Group Will resume on September 27 following
the Worship Service. We will read and discuss John chapters
14-17.

Circle II Book Club starts this month on Tuesday, September 22, 10:30am in the Church House. ALL the ladies (and any friends) of the church are invited to attend and participate in our friendly discussion of the most recent read. The book for discussion on this date is “The Greatest Sentence Ever Written” by Walter Isaacson. Coffee and tea will be provided. Bowling All who are interested in bowling, we can have a league -
two person teams if we so choose. We will bowl at Wickford Lanes
on Wed. evenings from 6:30-8:00, twice a month, starting on October 7th. The cost is $15.00 each time you bowl. Open to all who
are interested in bowling, all ages. Sign-up sheet is in the foyer,
you an sign-up as a regular or substitute.
Kristy Engel will be visiting with us on October 18th. She is a global consultant with International Ministries, with a healthcare focus, is a trained pediatric nurse practitioner who served for 12 years in the Dominican Republic, leading teams and working with public health issues. She helps during times of major crises, including the 2010 Haiti earthquake, the 2014 Ebola outbreak, and in the Ukraine since 2022. She provides health assessments, training, clinical skills, partner consultation, and crisis relief throughout the world.
