Sunday Worship services: Reflective Service at 9:00 AM and a traditional service at 10:30 AM. These are standard times unless otherwise indicated.

Sunday Worship Dances of Universal Peace

Join us this morning as we learn about the Sufi inspired practice known as the Dances of Universal Peace. AND then join in the dancing! Dances of Universal Peace started in 1968, led by founder Samuel L. Lewis in northern California and has spread throughout the world. The movements are simple but the connection is profound. No experience necessary!

Note: This service will take place in Smith Hall, wear dancing shoes.

The Fine art of Doing Nothing!
As someone from a family without great financial resources I always dreaded the beginning of school when I’d have to hear about the great trips others had been on. And yet I also noticed that though I did not have pictures to share I did have the wonderful memories of time doing not a thing – aside from wondering in the woods or playing in the back yard or daydreaming on a lawn chair. This service is an ode to wondering and as the great Christopher Robin once said: “What I like doing best is Nothing.””How do you do Nothing?” asked Pooh.”Well, it’s when people call out at you just as you’re going off to do it, What are you going to do Christopher Robin, and you say, Oh, nothing, and you go and do it… It means just going along, listening to all the things you can’t hear and not bothering.” For more information go to:

At Home in the Stars

As children, many of us stood beneath the night sky with a sense of wonder and an unspoken yearning to belong. Then we grew up. We became older and supposedly wiser. Ironically, we became lost in a society that places us, the individual, at the center of the universe and transforms all that we most value into a commodity or a meme. What if we look up at the stars again? Although dulled by our light pollution, we’ll still see the same ocean of stars and galaxies the ancients gazed upon to develop the science of astrology. Whether for the Greeks, the Egyptians, the Maya, or us today, astrology starts with wonderment, quiets our everyday ordinary reality, and activates our innate mystic nature. Let’s recapture our child-like curiosity, look up together, step out of the lion's den of our cultural biases, and find our way home through the stars into Spirit. Our Annual Drumming Sunday led by John Walker is Back!!

We will circle up Sunday at 10am in Smith Hall with our drums, maracas, tambourines, and other percussive devices along with our woodwind instruments for a BIG Drumming Circle. All levels of talent are 100% welcome! Don’t have a rhythm instrument/s to bring? A large plastic bucket can make some joyful noise, or a plastic bottle with dried beans can make a worthy maraca! And as ever we will have many spare rhythmic items in the center of our circle to borrow. So you’ve just run out of excuses to not show up!! See you there!

Mysticism often gets a bad rap in a world dominated by reason and rationalism. Sometimes seen as just a bunch of made up mumbo jumbo, it is often discounted as not relavant to “real” life. And yet, true mysticism is perhaps one of the most facinating ways to experience our interconnectedness. The modern mystic is not trying to leave the world of the senses but is learning how to dance in the field of possibility the scientist have labeled the quantum field. What happens beyond the senses?
