North Carolina State Council 58th Episcopal District of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc. Young, dioscesan. At the demise of our beloved and honorable Bishope Edward C. Wright Sr.

The North Carolina State Council is an affiliate of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc. and evolves out of the historical Carolina State Council, 24th Episcopal District, the honorable Bishop Richard E. In a visionary move, Bishop Young recommended that the 72 year old Council be separated into two states. This decision birthed the groundwork for the North Carolina State Council. The legacy of the Carolina State Council is shared by these two states with a rich heritage. Bishop Young at the helm of the South Carolina State, while Bishop Edward C. Roberts was the Diocesan of the North Carolina State Council to make a continuing landmark as both North and South Carolina Councils step into their "new seasons". Roberts in October of 2010. The Pentecostal Assemblies of the World made a decision to leave his office vacant for one year at which time a new diocesan, Bishop Marion E. was appointed. God gave Bishop Wright a vision for new and innovative ideas for establishing churches. In fulfilling this vision, the Council must REACH out to lost souls; CONNECT with other churches, cultures and communities; challenge pastors to GROW their congregations and net worth, teaching them to DEVELOP ministries to meet the needs of the people, and HONOR GOD with their lives. 🌎 The PAW Global Day of Prayer and Consecration
📆 Wednesday, October 7, 2026

Our Presiding Bishop, Bishop Richard D. Howell, Jr., is calling the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc. to unite for a global day of prayer and consecration.

Wherever you are in the world, join us in prayer at 6 AM, 9 AM, 12 noon, 3 PM, and 6 PM in your own time zone. As we pray across time zones, we’ll join together in the Presider’s call for 24 hours of continuous prayer.

This initial seed prayer assignment will focus on four directives for October:

✔️ Severe weather worldwide: Pray for those whose lives, homes, possessions, and communities have been devastated by severe weather, including the destruction of infrastructure.

✔️ The upcoming November elections: Pray concerning the elections and their impact on people around the world.

✔️ Our leadership and their families: Pray for Bishop Howell and his family, Bishops Brady and Tyson and their families, and the entire Executive Bishops Council as they lead this new administration.

✔️ Our bishops and pastors: Pray for the well-being of the entire Board of Bishops and our pastors, and for their support of this initiative and every God-breathed vision set forth from this time forward.
