This was such an awesome event to be a part of! At one point I got bit emotional looking around and knowing I was in a (BIG) room full of people who were simply there to make sure the kids in our community have what they need to succeed and feel safe, loved, and taken care of. I love our community!

We are trying something new!

We have a family that we’ve been helping out since the beginning of the year that has a regular, constant need for Luvs size 5 and 7 for their babies.

We’re working with them on job steadiness, but while they’re in a space where they’re getting back on their feet, I wanted to see if we were able to lift the burden of diapers for them.

We’re hoping to establish a monthly supply for them. If you are able to donate those specific sizes, or you want to sponsor this family for $75 a month, let us know!

The blue bin outside of FBC has disappeared. Pastor Bunyan is working to put something else out there while we try to locate it, but if you’re trying to donate and it’s not there, we do have another tote at the Worship Center! There are also people available to receive donations at the Dixon Church of the Brethren from 8:30-11:30 on Mondays and Thursdays and from 1:00-4:00 at the Worship Center.

Our community rocks.

I (Cassie) was talking to a volunteer the other day while picking up a donation and I told them if there’s one thing I’ve learned so far with the Dignity Drive, it’s that we have a fantastic community. We have good people.

These are the hauls that have been collected for our friend with Down Syndrome who has food sensitivities. Their family is very grateful.

Keep shining the light, folks. Keep doing the next needed thing. ❤️

We have a special need! Someone whose family has started to use our services has an adult son with Down Syndrome and while their family already utilizes the food pantry, because of their disability the food choice options for this individual are limited.

Here are a few things that work best for him. If you want to help them out by donating so we can stock them up on these SPECIFIC items (please note the flavors/brands), you can drop them off at FBC (by appointment this week because of the heat, otherwise in the blue tote), The Worship Center (W-F from 1pm-4pm), or The Dixon Church of the Brethren (M & TH from 8:30-11:30).

You’re also welcome to donate monetarily and I will run to the store to grab the items. Just be specific with your donation if that’s where you want it to go!
