The storm got everybody's attention, but it was his testimony that got everybody shook. "I worship the Lord, the God of heaven who made the sea and dry land." One sentence and suddenly the room got quiet.⁣

Sometimes our reach exceeds our own understanding of it. What we carry matters, even when we're running from it.⁣

He paid a fare, hopped on a boat, and went straight to sleep while the storm he caused was rocking everybody else’s boat too.⁣
⁣
Sound familiar? We run from what God’s calling us to do and think it only affects us. It never does.⁣
⁣

Jonah was a respected prophet, a man people trusted to carry the very words of God.⁣

One decision to run from what he was called to do put him on a downward spiral, out of character and out of alignment with who he really was.⁣

That’s the thing about disobedience. It doesn’t just affect the moment. It affects the witness.⁣

There are moments when all we can do is look back and recognize God’s faithfulness. Whatever you're going through today, remember the source of your salvation.
