Our newest Psalm artwork is by Angie Ham who drew from Psalm 61:4 to create a paper sculpture using pages from the Bible.

Read her description of the piece’s meaning below:

We often imagine refuge or shelter as finding a place of safety where we are removed or separated from harm. But in Psalm 61. David is still in the midst of his circumstances as he cries out to God. His refuge is not found in escaping reality, but in knowing the God who is with him within it.

This plece is an abstract Interpretation of wings. inspired by David’s prayer.
The wings are constructed from the words of Scripture, with each book of the Bible represented, revealing God’s character and His promises. The forms are intentionally open so that you can see through them in order to rofect the idea that finding refuge in God does not mean blocking our view of the word or separating ourselves from it. Instead, finding refuge in God gives us a way to see and engage with our circumstances through the truth of who God is and what He has promised

Artist Sarah Doctor hand embroidered an art piece for Psalm 60, featuring a broken shield that representing the suffering detailed in the passage.

Read her full description:

This embroidery depicts a broken shield, symbolizing the turmoil, defeat, and brokenness described in Psalm 60.

The sunlight shining through the crack represents God’s presence breaking through moments of darkness and distress.

Although the shield is damaged, the light reminds us that hope and protection remain, reflecting the Psalm’s movement from despair toward trust in God.

Psalm 59, illustrated in a colorful paper collage by Emma Bryant.

The Psalms often describe fearful circumstances: times of trouble, bloodthirsty enemies, wicked evildoers, death, darkness, and destruction. Yet through them, we see the Psalmist surrendering, pleading for the Lord’s deliverance. We, too, can pray honestly, find strength in the Lord, and sing as we wait.

In this piece, we see a frightening enemy—but we cannot forget that God is our fortress and refuge.

🏀 Introducing the Grace City Men’s Basketball Team!

We’re excited to represent Grace City in a league in Denver’s RiNo district as we grow together in community and engage our city.

More than just basketball, this is about building friendships, encouraging one another, opening God’s Word together, and growing as apprentices of Jesus.

The Grace City worship team spent this past weekend on retreat, enjoying a hike at Lair O’ the Bear, time in God’s Word, worship, fellowship, and a workshop together.

As they reflected on how God is moving in this season and the gift of corporate worship, one unforgettable moment unfolded when they gathered in a sunlit wellhouse and sang the Doxology.

We’re so grateful for this team’s faithful leadership, servant hearts, and love for our church. 🤍
