And with that, the ninth session of the Mountain Sky Annual Conference has concluded! We gathered as a district and celebrated outgoing DS Rev. Jessica Rooks and incoming DS Rev. Dr. Andy Dunning, passed the budget, completed elections for General and Jurisdictional Conference delegations (Pastor Seth was elected to serve on the delegation), fixed appointments, and celebrated the licensing, commissioning, and ordination of candidates. Thankful for another wonderful day at the Mountain Sky Annual Conference in Billings, Montana! During AANHPI Heritage Month, we celebrate Clara Elizabeth Chan Lee, a Chinese American suffragist and community leader with deep Methodist roots. The daughter of a Methodist pastor in Oakland, she became the first Chinese American woman to register to vote in the US after California granted women the right to vote in 1911. Her life reflected a commitment to both faith and social justice, especially through advocacy for women’s education, dignity, and civic participation.
