What a powerful Sunday at I AM Worship Church! Pastor Mark Ogletree brought a challenging and freeing message titled “I DISAGREE: Breaking What’s Trying to Break Me.” Drawing from 1 Corinthians 10:12–14, we were reminded that temptation is something everyone faces, regardless of age, position, or spiritual maturity. Being tempted isn't the same as sinning, and we don't have to live ashamed of the battles we face. Instead, God has given us the power to stop agreeing with the things that are working against His purpose for our lives. The declaration of the day was simple: “I disagree with everything that disagrees with God’s purpose for my life. I’m going to break what has been trying to break me.”

The message challenged us to recognize how temptation works. According to James 1, temptation targets our desires and presents the bait while hiding the hook and its consequences. But between temptation and sin is a moment when we decide whether we will agree with what is being presented to us. We don't have to agree with every thought, feeling, appetite, fear, offense, or desire that comes our way. Sometimes we simply need to say, “I disagree.” But disagreement also requires action. We can't keep feeding what we're asking God to kill. Sometimes freedom means blocking it, deleting it, leaving it, confessing it, changing our environment, or bringing a hidden struggle into the light through prayer and accountability.

Most importantly, we were reminded that our victory isn't based on our own strength—God is faithful! First Corinthians 10:13 promises that God provides a way of escape, and ultimately that way has a name: Jesus. Even if we've already taken the bait and found ourselves caught in something we never intended, the grace of Jesus is still powerful enough to bring freedom. We aren't simply disagreeing with the enemy; we're choosing to agree with God. We disagree with fear and agree with His promises. We disagree with condemnation and agree with the freedom found in Christ. We disagree with the lie that we'll always be this way and agree that in Jesus we are a new creation. I disagree with everything that disagrees with God, so I can fully agree with what God says about me!

This past Sunday, we had the honor of hearing from Pastor Ashley, Mark, Max, and Marley!

They reminded us of the importance of lining back up! What a timely and powerful word, especially for Family Sunday!

We’re so thankful for the wisdom shared and for what God is doing in the families of I AM Worship!

Not every role gets the spotlight. The offensive lineman blocks so someone else can score. The parent prays in the car where nobody sees. The family member steps into a gap before anyone else notices it was there. That is what it means to hold the line.

This week, our home team took the stage and reminded us that strong families are built in moments nobody else sees. Know your assignment. Protect your team. Help your team move forward. Joshua 24:15 says it plainly -- as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. That is not a declaration of perfection. It is a declaration of direction.

And if you do not have blood family beside you, look around. God places spiritual family around us too. The person who shows up, prays, tells you the truth, and stays -- that is family.

I AM Worship Church — Family Sunday Recap
What an incredible Family Sunday at I AM Worship Church! Today, every generation gathered together in the sanctuary as one big family to worship the Lord. Some of our youth worship team joined our worship team to lead us, and it was awesome watching our kids waving flags, dancing on the stage, and worshiping Jesus right alongside the adults. It was a beautiful reminder that our children aren't simply waiting for their turn to be part of the Church—they are part of what God is doing right now! There was so much joy in the room as families worshiped together and showed what it looks like for one generation to encourage the next.

Pastor Ashley Ogletree was joined by Little Mark, Max, and Marley to bring a powerful and practical message titled “Hold the Line.” Using the picture of a football offensive line, they taught us three important truths for our Home Teams: Know Your Assignment. Protect Your Team. Help Your Team Move Forward. Strong families aren't built only in the moments everyone sees; they're built through prayer, sacrifice, forgiveness, encouragement, showing up, and serving when nobody is applauding. We were reminded that everybody on the Home Team has an assignment, and sometimes protecting our family means stepping into a gap when someone else isn't strong enough to stand alone. Little gaps—busyness, unforgiveness, attitudes, lack of communication, or simply drifting apart—can become big openings if we're not careful. That's why sometimes somebody has to make the decision to hold the line.

One of the most encouraging reminders of the day was that strong families aren't families that never miss a block or have a bad play. When the play goes wrong, line back up! Apologize. Forgive. Pray. Show up. Come back together and put Jesus at the center. And our Home Team isn't limited to those who share our last name. God has given us a spiritual family—people who pray for us, stand in the gap, tell us the truth, celebrate our victories, and stay when life gets difficult. We ended by gathering with our Home Teams and declaring together: We will show up. We will protect each other. We will encourage each other. We will forgive. We will hold the line. And above everything else, we will follow Jesus. Then, as one church family, we made the declaration of Joshua 24:15: “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord!” What a special Family Sunday at I AM Worship Church!
