Pine Forest Baptist Church

Pine Forest Baptist Church Pine Forest Baptist Church was established on its present site in 1903. Its name is derived from the virgin pines that were cut to build the first buildings.

Sunday Services:
Sunday School 9:30am
Morning Worship 10:30am
Evening Worship 6:00pm

Wednesday Evenings:
Mid-Week Worship 6:30pm
PULSE Kids 6:30pm
Youth 6:30pm These buildings included the Ratcliff School and a two-story lodge occupied by the "Woodman of the World". The first church service was held in the one room school. Later the school and the church moved into the bottom floor of the lodge.

The church land was donated by Dr. Singleton and Mrs. Jessie McDonald. Later the cemetery property was purchased from the Winston Calvert family. Included in the present cemetery property is a generous addition of one acre provided in the summer of 2000 by the Bounds Family. In the summer of 1925 all church records were destroyed in a house fire. Because of this tragedy, County records were used to establish that the church was constituted in 1906 in the Okatibbeeha Association with B.F. Threatt as the pastor. In the late 1930's Bluette Culpepper had the lodge removed and the church remodeled. In 1953 Pine Forest Baptist Church became a member of the Lauderdale Baptist Association. Brother Gary Smith became pastor in 1961. He was instrumental in the progress of this congregation. Under his leadership, Pine Forest Baptist Church experienced the construction of the first Sunday School rooms and the establishment of a full time worship service. Reverend Smith was also responsible for the establishment of a nursery, Vacation Bible School (VBS) and Training Union. Reverend Harold Lollar became pastor in 1970. Through his love and dedication to the Lord, along with the people of this community, Pine Forest Baptist Church continued to grow in many areas. Rev. Lollarโ€™s dedication and leadership brought this church to exciting growth in the area of membership and ministry. Lollar was also instrumental in the expansion of the churchโ€™s facilities.

What a great evening at the Pulse Car Wash for Camp!๐Ÿš—๐Ÿงฝ๐Ÿ’ฆ

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out, donated, washed cars, sprayed water, scrubbed tires, encouraged our kids, and supported our camp fundraiser yesterday evening. Seeing our Pulse kids serve with smiles, laughter, and teamwork made the night extra special!

We are so thankful for a church family that continually invests in the next generation. Because of your generosity and support, we are helping make camp possible for our kids this summer! โค๏ธ

What a beautiful weekend at Pine Forest Baptist Church!

We celebrated 50 years of Godโ€™s faithfulness in the marriage of James & Kathy Bounds and rejoiced as we witnessed baptism โ€” a powerful reminder that Jesus is still changing lives!

From honoring a legacy of covenant love to celebrating new life in Christ, this weekend was full of joy, worship, and testimony. God is so good!
