THEME: Fellowship & Rest
POUR IT OUT
Psalm 62:8; Psalm 102
Pastor Dr. Chester Davis, Jr.

While life is filled with trials, heartbreak, and seasons of feeling overwhelmed, God never changes. From Job to David to the unnamed psalmist in Psalm 102, Scripture shows that even God’s faithful servants experienced deep sorrow, loneliness, and despair. Yet instead of allowing their burdens to consume them, they brought them honestly before the Lord.

True rest is not found in denying our pain or carrying it alone, but in pouring out our hearts to God. God invites us to come without masks or filters, expressing our grief, fears, disappointments, and complaints in prayer because He already knows our hearts and cares deeply for His children. Being overwhelmed is not a sign of weak faith—it is an invitation to deeper fellowship with God.

The message challenged believers to stop bottling up what is breaking them and to stop complaining only to people who cannot fix their problems. Instead, we are called to cast every care upon the Lord, trusting that He hears every cry, receives every burden, and provides the rest that only His presence can give. When we pour it out before God, we make room for His peace, His strength, and His sustaining grace.

You’ll never find rest carrying what God has invited you to pour out.
