For over 100 years, Zion Baptist Church has stood as a landmark in the community. This historic building has been part of countless lives and stories. Through the dedicated efforts of Janice Calvert Harrison, Nina Tucker Calvert, Mary Day, Peggy Tingle, Sheila Alawine Thead, and others we may have missed. Zion Baptist Church was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002, ensuring its importance would never be forgotten.

Now, it’s our turn to honor that legacy. Today, our beloved church is in urgent need of restoration. Time, weather, and age have taken a toll, and without repairs to the floor joists and beams, we risk losing not only a building but an important piece of our shared history.

We are launching a fundraising effort to raise $60,000.00 to restore and preserve Zion Baptist Church. These funds will ensure that this historic landmark remains standing strong for generations to come.

Your gift - whether large or small - will make a difference. With your help, we can honor and sustain this beloved church so it continues to stand as a symbol of faith, history and family for generations to come.
